I had an address to deal with. It was in Chestermere. But after the word Chestermere was the string "TIXIC-6".
What exactly does this mean? Is this the Canadian version of a ZIP Code?

Well, there is a postal code, which is in fact six digits long. But the format is
(letter)(number)(letter) (number)(letter)(number)
Are those i's ones maybe? There is a Fedex thing that lets you check addresses, so you could try that.

Could have been. This was a postal service's forwarding order and the lettering was all caps. In all caps it showed TIXIC- with the numeral against the dash.
You might be right though, I really don't know. All I know is that my database doesn't have the capability to deal with a record without a proper two letter state abbreviation. Of which there's only 50.
So I put that record on No Forwarding and was done with it.
