Any love for So Cal?

I always read how Nick has some passes for screenings but for flicks on the east of the country, what aboot So Cal? We love movies too. I have always wanted to attend a screening like the ones the press go to or the ones that are used to get people reaction but I have no clue how to get inside of them. My friend and I are movie nerds and have hopes to be involved in the movie industry somehow later on, me as a screenwriter and he wants to be a reporter.

For the love of god does anyone know how to be on the "inside" for these kind of things. I love getting junk and I would love to know how to recieve crap from the studio about their new movies.
