How bout we start up a thread that manages to inform West Coast(mostly LA) chewers of upcoming screenings or events or where something is shooting or any other items of interest. Almost like a news thread of what's going down.

Because I think we really need to liven up this section of the board because I mean heck, we are where the movie process is born! We have the weather and the leather to make it happen!

I need to get a life!

From what I've seen in the news...yeah, you're right. But of course they go and make it a race issue. Do they realize they hurt themselves more by always making it about race? Good Lord the guy has done a mediocore job and that might be fine for some cities but unfortunately LAPD needs a strong leader and we can't settle for Parks. We need a lot better.

My two cents...just got done listening to tons about this subject this morning on the radio.

The race card should be taken out of the deck...

But how's the weather in good ol' SoCal? Cloudy, 68 today in Sacramento.

Hey CT, does Don "The Snake" Prudhomme still actually live in Granada Hills?

Hey CT, does Don "The Snake" Prudhomme still actually live in Granada Hills?Well since I haven't heard of 'em yet I would have to say he is either lying low, dead, or no longer is this area......who is he anyways?

76 degrees and a bit cloudy is the weather!

Is this suppose to constitute the news and all I wanted to see posted here? Argh.

Sorry. Don "Snake" is about the best Funny Car driver ever...in my book. I thought maybe a fellow Granada Hills resident might know.

Its hard to know who lives where considering Granada Hills is exactly a bunch of winding roads and hills and two very differemt class of housing......lower middle class to higher middle class....and you would know the difference if you lived here.

I have an idea. How about we set aside one night in LA, a month, as Ol' Will apreciation night! Now there is an idea with some merit, is it not?

You know, you bring young girls to my event and praise me and I fall asleep and snore. Now if my "event" will just keep on working.

No, wait! That didn't come out right.

How about a CHUD bowling for dollars night?

CHUD BINGO?

CHUD Campfire girls? (Jabba is emailing me trying to sign up as a Campfire leader already.)

Then I will be the most feared -and wealthy- Chewer known! I will not be beaten at my own game!

Since I suck at bowling, one of the few things I can't do well, you'll have to excuse me if I ante up using Disney Dollars...

Will, you are the most influential among us, say the word, where and when, and we'll be there!
Oh, about the campfire girls, yes, I will be the camp leader. I won't charge. Much.

Bowling for squirrels!

I have to say, dbowling with Django would probably be an experience that people would pay money to dwatch.

Django, when he found that the dpins didn't all fall down, might just dwhip out his dMac 10 fitted with a dsilencer as in, "Escape From New York" and knock them down that way.

Important note to chewers. Never confuse bowling and boweling when hanging out with Ludwig. It could be ugly.

Well this thread has sure provided LA Chewers with some fascinating words to live by and news to boot!

Wehaw!

And as long as Ludwig don't come around here I think we will be fine. Gods knows we have enough to deal with around here!

Like the Robert Blake case!

That or the construction all-around 3rd Street!

Oh but you're missing the whole point: Ludwig needs to be there no matter what! His contrast, intelligence, and sheer Caribility(tm) needs to be experienced by all!

He attended the first CHUD BBQs along with HAM and Django back when, Ludwig can be an honorary Southern Californian. Now if we could just talk him into wearing his pants this time, while we are eating.

You know I really do happen to envy the Atlanta community that has been set up there a few thousand miles away from us.

I feel as if we are lacking a certain.....comradory(sp?) around here.

I mean c'mon...all we can talk smack about is those LA Times ads and then those dastardly KZLA country commercials?

Sheesh!

remember when those commercials had that extremely HOT burnett in them. i enjoyed watching those every morning.. Now it is those creepy children of the corn :(

I'm working on getting my hand on a new motorcycle by the end of summer, so if you guys set up some west coast chud events i'l gladly make them around that time.

The problem with a So Cal Chewer hoedown is that because we make up the surliest, most infamous ones in the sewer, the State of California has outlawed any group shindigs larger than three persons big.

There are enough choppers circling and buildings exploding in the background when I show up alone as it is...

I'm working on getting my hand on a new motorcycle by the end of summer, so if you guys set up some west coast chud events i'l gladly make them around that time.I too am obtaining a new motorcycle, but I am going to pass on doing a kronos on it. Harley here I come and I should have it before August.

There's a party coming in August of 2003 in Milwakee that I wouldn't want to miss. Just you and 200,000 of your closest friends, all Harley riders for the 100 th anniversery of Harley Davidson. I will be there.

As for August of 2002, well, a get together at the Willholme will have to suffice. Kronos, grendel, Soujourner, Will, Ludwig, HAM, Django, Nelson (I hope) Jabba, maybe Diva, or so she says, Timmy, and I am going to set up a second day tour at Sony pictures or something, to keep people entertained, before they hit the freeways drunk.

Maybe a guest to talk about films. I think I know who Diva wants to meet, so maybe I'll set that up. Two cooks, a bartender, spare rooms, a pool and 90 degree weather, along with the newest batch of Ol Will's homemade wine and some homemade kaluha. First night's dinner at Vida, second day at the Wilholme and maybe then Sunday's bruch at a certain private club. Wait! Django and Ludwig in that club?? Do you recall what Ludwig was doing to Marky Mark's dollie, the last time those two were here? Well maybe not, but then again, I enjoy being entertained

Actually it's Pasadena and it's the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors con.

But from the looks of it, they'll be more Chewers in attendance than hack horror people.

Say what you will 'bout that...
