OK, this is what the religious folks like to a call a WEIRD MOTHERFUCKING SONG!. The next CD is coming along nicely, around 6 songs in various stages of Nightstickdom, and where EXPLODER was all over the map and having a few silly songs (Tummy Rape, Belloq, Ballad From the Pits of Sickness) and LEVITATOR was more electronic (Mental Paradise, Beyond the Bones), this one's a little more guitar driven and experimental. I don't expect a lot of people to "like" this song, as it's just a little weird but there's enough quirk to grab a few folks' ear, perhaps.
Without further ado, I'm Jack, a tune about those hardcore folks who live hard and the women they treat like shit and take for granted:

I'M JACK
(Murph, Mak, Nunz)
Cleaning up, who’s the cool persuader but me?
I’m the only one standing
Breaking up, all relations are a backslide dont’cha know?
Taking it down is all that matters
Bleed for me baby. Can’t bring blood from a stone, but it’s worth a dip
Tonight, don’t rest that head without a little of that up and up and up
Host a slice for the weary old man, you know where I’ve been
I’ve been everywhere
Raise a glass, raise that ass, let us raise the Hell
It’s about time you used all that noise for something
I’m Jack, I’m on the rocks
Take a sip
I’m Jack, In the box
Take a dip
Mother of God, it’s been too long
Rapid fire jackhammer bobbing bobcat ass
You’ve become a gold medal blue ribbon evangelical place to amusement park
I’m big enough to ride this ride
Roll her coaster over
I’m Jack
Bass - Steve Murphy

Good song. Not excately something I'd jam in the car often but it's a very interesting tune.

Not crazy about the tune. It's decent, but I think you've done better.
The way the song sounds, however, is great. Everything is smooth and clear.

I know this is kind of a weird tune, but I think sandwiched between two more aggro or catchy tracks it'll provide a nice change-up. I think the goal with the Nightsticks is to just let loose and do whatever with each song, not overthink it or try to deliver anything in particular. Instead just have fun and do stuff like the truly bizarre guitar solo in this song. Especially that little break that gets a giggle from me everytime I hear it. Japanese Werewolf has this weird middle part as well, but I tend to think as the LN stuff as more album orientated while the PKG stuff has a lot of songs that in a perfect world would be pretty damned accessible even though they tend to be considerably heavier.

If the songs on the next album are half as good as this song, you guys are doing some good work. Yet again.

I actually think this is a pretty accessible track, not weird at all. That probably says more about my musical ear than anything else though.

It took many listens, but this one's finally starting to sort out for me a bit.

Not bad. The arrangments and instrumentation are tight. The Nightsticks continue to evolve in a manner I like. I look forward to hearing more tracks, hopefully soon.

I like this tune. Didn't across as "weird" to me at all. Good to groove to while performing otherwise tedious documenting tasks here at work.

This is more and better response than I expected. Rock and roll! Be assured, anything NEW we record for LN3 will be of the same quality or much better.

This is the first song the three of us have worked all together on in quite some time. It was a whole lot of fun recording it and I think that it shows in the song. Compounded with the fact that Nick's recording sounds amazing, this is quickly rising into my top ten.

I downloaded it and gave it a listen. It kept doing this annoying break. It would play twenty or thirty seconds, break for a split second and then keep going. And this is playing from my machine, not streaming. Odd.
Great song, quirky with a cool bassline. The lyrics are like a joke I don't get though.

I like the opening bass and drum line. I'm thinking a little of Thoroughgood (adn that's a good thing IMO). The song seems to match your vocals better. The bluesy feel seems to be what you need. The abrupt ending si a little bothersome. Tops overall though.
Interesting. I didn't realize I had already commented.

I'm glad you bumped this one up Nick because this is a great tune.
I like the rhythm and pacing. It has a smooth funky beat and this is the type of tune you like to have playing in the car flying down the interstate.....
