PAN IN YOUR PANTS

Everyone with blood’s a soldier
Every wound a mortal blow
Everyone’s born with potential to shuffle mortal coil
Everyone craves to be on top
Everyone capable of sin
Everyone will need protection when our patience grows thin

Put a pan in your pants, baby
Wear it all over town
Put a pan in your pants, and then tell me
What it’s all about

Everyone has items so soft
Every wound can juggle junk
Everyone’s born with little Achilles heels hiding in their trunks
Everyone likes to live in comfort
Everyone can portray tough
Everyone will need protection when our drawers are not enough

There’s no pain as strong, nothing so numbing as those few moments of uneasy confusion
A little athletic support is what we need
Sometimes, you've gotta check the cupboard and protect your little of the ol’ Glenn Hubbard
You know what I'm saying?

Everyone needs to feel dignity
Every wound yields sacrifice
Everyone’s born with potential to kill their baby spice
Everyone craves to be on top
Everyone needs to guard their friends
Everyone will need protection when objects are hurled at them

Put a pan in your pants, baby
Wear it all over town
Put a pan in your pants, and then tell me
What it’s all about
Put a pan in your pants
Take it out for romance
Put a pan in your pants
Thank God for Charles Dance

I like it. The music was upbeat. I really like the drums and bass in this as well. The vocals were cool. The lyrics were suprisingly creative.

I had a fun time listening to this track. Good stuff, guys.

Oh, that "Thank God for Charles Dance" thing around the end of the song nearly killed me. So damn funny.

Man, that's so recent Chili Peppers. Tell Steve to stop channeling John Frusciante.

Song es das guten.

Also, great to see Takes back.

Thanks for the comments. Micah, considering that 'By the Way' is the first RHCP album I haven't loved with every fibre of my existence I'll take that as ammo to do better next time.

I was thinking Californication, actually. Thought you loved that record?

I loved Californication, but the new one was laced with evidence of Kiedis mediocrity.

Good lyrical work.

One of my new favorites off of LN3.

Actually, I thought it was going to be based on something Conan O'Brien said about Michael Jackson-

"I'm Peter Pan in my heart....and Pinnochio in my pants."

Strange mix of influences. Starts out sounding a little like The Who, then this "new wave-y" thing, and on the chorus, yeah, I can hear RHCP. I like the horns in the last chorus.

The tango feel was interesting adn much a departure from the bluesy vibe I've been gettign from the otehr songs. It is indeed a very fun song adn one I have no doubt you have fun performing.
