Okay, maybe some of you have read this series but there are these books by Brian Jaques about these talking animals that live in an abbey who are always being attacked by evil invaders like rats or crows. They're really amazing. I think they would make great movies, but only if they make three and follow what I feel is the book's core trilogy-REDWALL (the first), MATTIMO (2), and MOSSFLOWER (3--but a prequel). I think that total CGI isn't appropriate and something similar to Stuart Little or Dinosaur would work better. However, one of the good things about this project is that the books are very violent and scary in spots and so you could have a kick-ass adventure movie done with forest animals--as ridkiulous as that sounds-and have it be PG-13.

Agreed. This deserves full-blown big screen treatment.

Have you seen the PBS cartoon?ASS.I've never seen, but I hear that.

I read the books when I was young, but don't remember jack shit from them. I might go read them again some time.

I dont think that they should be PG 13 because then potential younger readers could not see it. Plus, I dont think the older crowd would pay 8.50 to see forest creatures eating lots of food, no matter how much violence. I think that the books have a great balance between action and happiness, and that would be impossible to recreate in a movie. Let it be, I say, the PBS series has caused enough pain.
