Here's a nice little pop tune.

THE ONE YOU WANT
Nunziata/Murphy

Unless he's crazy
you've got his attention
take a look in the mirror
you’re a force of nature
screamin’ good looking
most would drop their bags just to have a shot at you
shot at you, shot at you
a shot at you

Less and less I see the reasons you have been
so unattainable
lessons learned in your reflection
your reflection
More and more I see the reasons you haven’t been
with the one you want
you’ll have to find out for yourself
all by yourself

You’ve got the look down
”I’m a prize to capture”
Only one thing remaining
your built walls to shatter
so damn good lookin’
most are too afraid just to have a word with you
word with you, word with you
a word with you

Less and less I see the reasons you have been
so unattainable
lessons learned in your reflection
your reflection
More and more I see the reasons you haven’t been
with the one you want
you’ll have to find out for yourself
all by yourself

Nick: Bass, Vocals, Backing Vocals
Steve: Drums, Guitar, Backing Vocals

Nick, I like the words to that, only, I don't have an Mp3 player. Actually, I haven't even hooked my speakers back up yet. I know, I know, I must get it in gear.

I've been meaning to listen to these songs for a WHILE and I'm just now starting to listen and kicking myself for waiting so long...

I'm not deep enough into Package to compare it to your other stuff but I love this tune, very catchy!

This is a catchy little pop song. I dig it, although it seems detached from the other PKG I've heard (The All Devouring Beast), which is fine. Really liked the last 20 seconds or so --good end to it.

And as always, some good lyrics.

Our goal is to not sit still with any one kind of song. If you've noticed, the three songs off the new CD are different drastically from each other as well as the old stuff.

I liked this song when I first heard it, but for some odd reason, it REALLY clicked with me when I listened to it just now on my really nice earbuds at work.

A damn good song I had absolutely nothing to do with.

As for the song, I like it quite a bit. It has a catchy riff and good vocals. I love how you guys aren't afraid to jump around from style to style, trying all kinds of different things. When can we expect a gangsta rap entry into the PKG canon?

All joking aside, thanks for the comments, all. And it's especially good to hear that you now enjoy the song, Micah.

I must also say that I get a major Beach Boys vibe listening to this song, which was never intentional. This is just a harmless pop song, albeit a fun one.

Steve, no one noticed. I told you.

Figures. If that's the case, we should do more of it.

They must not be paying attention.

OK...I am IN this band, and I have no idea what you're talking about.

What is it that no one's noticing?

For shame.

Hey! That addition of the Dark Master commanding worship of the visage of Ned Beatty is a nice touch!

But, seriously, maybe I didn't listen closely enough the other day but it sounds to me like the drums were punched up and the outro was altered.

Are you talking about the intelligble murmuring/singing during the last 8 bars?

What's that supposed to be? I noticed it days ago, but I didn't see any reason to make special mention of it.

Now that I finally know what it is...my bad.

I couldn't understand what it was until I was told. Sorry.

So, for those of us in the cheap seats, is there anything besides "Ghosts 'n' Goblins" that I'm missing?

Nick Nunziata

Ghosts & Goblins is it.

Micah Robinson

Do you actually say anything else besides "Ghost and Goblins" or is it just made-up speak?

Nick Nunziata

It's just atmosphere. Like a mix of doo wop and scat, I guess. Anyway, it happened. It's over.

A fun little number. I like the "your built walls to shatter" line.

By the way, has anybody seen my tumbleweed?

This is a really fun song. Again, great vocal work. The little noises at the end are loved.

This is a great little pop song. Sort of reminds me of The Vapors. I have been listening to a lot of the songs in the music section of the boards and this one is one of my favorites. I tend to like the faster songs best, with heavy guitar. As far as vocals go I really like the two extremes...the rapid spoken-word vocals or those that are very slow and moody. (I think someone mentioned Joy Division...) Oh, and the lyrics are great! Femme Fatal made me think of Lena Olin, "you want it with...or without?" Anyway, thought I would chime in. Thanks! :)

This is easily one of those songs I will keep listening to for months and years. I just love it.

I've always wanted to buy PKG CDs but my lack of credit card has always made me say, "Okay, I'll just have to wait." But this song has kicked my ass and forced me to find some way to get one. By the end of this year, I will own a PKG CD.

Also, this is a random question, but why did you guys opt to go with an abbreviation?

This is my favorite song that you've ever put on the boards, Nick, and this mix sounds different (did you mix it differently? re-record it? or is it the same with a new intro?).

I'd ditch the intro. Don't think it fits the tune at all. And when the vocals initially kick in, everything aside from the vocals seem flat. Don't know how to explain it.

But again, I think this tune is great, although compared to the MP3 you previously had up, I think this is not as good. Still a great song though.

SHit! That's the old mix. I put the link up from CNN where I have no speakers.
