Actually a very old song, remade with all that today's technology had to offer. This is so many millions of light years better than the original (which virtually NONE of you heard), I can't even say. This was a tune I did by myself on the 4-Track, always liked, but never got a chance to do with better musicians with better ideas playing the parts. That's no longer a problem.

SLEIGHT OF HAND 3:33
Nunziata

Well, you will be with me
I’ll be the sleight of hand
I have all your answers
deep inside of me
Magic is in my eyes
take a look and see inside
ride a magic carpet
guided by your heart

Safety will be, with a life
wakened by the love
you have put in me

The audience is stunned with fear
deception is killing me
escape artist, I will be
I am forever
The audience is stunned with fear
deception is killing me
escape artist, I will be
I am forever and ever

Magic blinds me, magic guides me
Feeds the burn that intensifies day by day
bludgeons me, embraces me
Magic is what will set you free
Illusion is completed
the rabbit is inside the hat
girl has disappeared
now I take a bow

Safety will be, with a life
wakened by the love
you have put in me

The audience is stunned with fear
deception is killing me
escape artist, I will be
I am forever
The audience is stunned with fear
deception is killing me
escape artist, I will be
I am forever and ever

The link is slightly wrong. It's an mp3, not mpg.

Try this.

D'oh. That's what I get for trying to download before the morning coffee kicks in.

Cool song, especially the beginning. Was definately in the mood for a rocker like this this morning.

Ahhh....this one of my favorite remakes. Just a solid rocker all the way, through.

Thumping drums smacking their way across the tracks, nice sleazy, trashy guitar everywhere, and a really good vocal performance from Da Nunz.

Love it.

The more I listen, the more I like. This was one of those songs that was kind of small. Nothing really extravagant... now I dig it lots. Kind of how WHO GOES THERE was. Sneakily fun.

BTW, thanks for finding the Conch, Micah.

BTW, thanks for finding the Conch, Micah. Is that a euphemism for female masturbation? Because if not, it should be.

Great tune. The opening provides a cool kick that I think would be a suitable opener, as I think the PKG albums tend to open by quickly getting the cockpunch out of the way.

Listen to the 2:51-2:55 section, and you'll hear it.

This one has a cool, and I mean groovy, grunge/stoner rock kind of feel. I like it. it's really riding.
That thing you guys were talking about is rad too.

From Jaws?

if faith no more (circa introduce yourself) and maybe mudhoney (circa piece of cake) had a kid, it might be sleight of hand. that's a good thing. oh yeah, fuck you! i'll skate to the beach, and i'll look better getting there.

This definitely give me a Mike Patton vibe, which is cool.

I'm listening to A Nice Hard Slap right now... Oddly enough, the mp3.com player is showing the Ghosts Harm Humans cover. Heh. And my favorite tune, Lambs to Gyro, has no info!

Anyways, getting to my point, you have all come a long way. And I mean that in the best way possible.

I guess I'm getting the Patton vibe from the tone of your voice and the multitracked vocals. Not terribly notable really, since I'm assuming he's a pretty big influence.

I'm glad there's a nice response to this tune. I really like it, but it's one of our more basic and linear songs. Listening back at some of our older stuff (Sea of Problems through All Devouring Beast), I see where some people could find it a little too "rock" for their tastes.

Kirby and gang, try "Superconductor Sleeps" if you get a sec. I think that's more in tune with what our stuff will sound like from here on.

After about 8-10 years of fighting the guitar, the best I could ever do was somehow elevate myself to the dubious distiction of "shitty guitar player".

I thought the opening scream terribly sensual.

The lead break, about 2.34 pure genius.

And I appeciated the instruments practically pushin the vocals. Instead of "lying back"....kinda interpretation.

I enjoyed it, thanks.

Oh....and BTW, I did not mean to overlook Bass and percussion. I initially thought bass was by Micah (hence the twin, movin together scenario, and I heard indications of rythm, was that Micah?) but it was awesome that you can work together like you do....................a siamese thinkin kinda thang.

Percussion.....the drivin force behind why it feels so pushed.........and searchin

A+++++++
