After round 5, feel free to negotiate some dealings.

The_Equivocator

Alright, Micah... what do you want for that Giant of yours?

Micah Robinson
02-28-2001, 11:38 AM
Hmmm...I thought briefly about CTHD, but truth be told, I'm pretty happy with what I have. http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

Sorry, grasshopper.

devilf
02-28-2001, 11:46 AM
You want to trade for Mikah's member?

Innocent X
02-28-2001, 11:48 AM
That was too easy.

Micah Robinson
02-28-2001, 12:19 PM
The only being with sufficient currency to trade for my member is my girlfriend.

Well.....maybe Carl, too...but that's it, damnit!

Hellblazer

Oh, God, my eyes! I'M BLIND!!! Arrrrrgh!

The_Equivocator
02-28-2001, 04:42 PM
And would you take one of my movies for the Giant as well as my place in the draft for a number of the next few rounds? Being bumped up from 29th to 1st does have its benefits... http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

I think 2001, The Shining, or The Sweet Hereafter and 1st pick for the next 4 rounds is a pretty strong deal.

Micah Robinson
02-28-2001, 06:09 PM
Tempting, but no thanks.

My tastes are just about as far enough off everyone else's path that I don't really have to worry about many of my choices being stolen, no matter hwo late I pick.

Wait until the end of the draft. Maybe we can talk then. http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

The Duke

The two movies I really wanted but didn't get are Nick's "The Thing" and Sean Fahey's "Heat". How does Escape from New York or Unbreakable, plus a second round pick in exchange for your eighth round pick in the next draft sound? Think about it.

Innocent X
03-02-2001, 02:06 PM
Who wants to do some dealing?

Django, Darkman?

Anything on my list aside from Memento could be available.

Nick Nunziata
03-02-2001, 02:16 PM
I could never part with THE THING. Sorry Duke.

devilf

Who wants some Fight Club?

A-Pathetic
03-02-2001, 02:19 PM
What do you want for Fight Club, Devilf?

Innocent X
03-02-2001, 02:20 PM
I want Fight Club!

Poxy Von Sinister
03-02-2001, 02:20 PM
So did anybody get really Machiavellian and take something they didn't necessarily want just to use as trade bait? I've seen that done in some of the sports drafts, just curious if that was anyone's plan.

I was VERY tempted to do that in the first round. Take the best available Star Wars and try to put the screws to somebody. But in the end, you gotta go with your favorite film if it's out there. And I did.

devilf
03-02-2001, 03:17 PM
Make me some offers on Fight Club - a film I love, but did pick just for this reason...

I'd give up anything on my list for Fight Club, except for Truman Show...Something to the tune of Schindler or Cuckoo's Nest if you so desire...

X, I'd go Banzai for Darkman...

LowShot
03-04-2001, 02:23 AM
Dev, I'll give you anything but Shawshank and Vertigo for Fight Club.

Innocent X
03-04-2001, 06:15 PM
Dj, I'd be more interested in draft positioning than for one of your actual films.

flint--Is The Matrix available for trade?

Django
03-04-2001, 09:20 PM
X we have three rounds to go and you're 11 places behind me. And that's if everyone goes in order which we never do.

I'll trade you movie for movie.

No more, no less.

Innocent X
03-05-2001, 11:14 AM
Fair enough. I'll just hold onto Darkman.

Django
03-05-2001, 05:59 PM
Not a problem, X...

Innocent X
03-06-2001, 10:30 AM
Anyone want to trade their 8th round selection for one of my films? (no trip, not Memento).

A-Pathetic
03-06-2001, 11:57 AM
Sure, I'll take Pulp off your hands for the selection that is up after Devilf.

Innocent X
03-06-2001, 11:58 AM
Oh, not Pulp Fiction either.

Innocent X

No riverboat gamblers in these drafts. One trade in the chick draft, none in the movie draft. Should the draft rules be shaken in order to get some action going?

trippingbillie41
03-07-2001, 04:35 PM
A trade actually went trough in the chick draft? What was it?

Innocent X
03-07-2001, 04:52 PM
I traded Lowshot Brooke Langton (Swingers, The Replacements) for the rights to his 9th round draft pick where I took the model Caprice. I found out she was in a film late in the draft so I needed the extra slot.

trippingbillie41
03-07-2001, 04:57 PM
Caprice...yes, very sexy.

devilf
03-07-2001, 06:56 PM
I will trade Fight Club for one of the following films:

Blofeld's Manhattan

Adam's Godfather Part II

Neil Bung's Almost Famous

Any takers?

The Duke
03-07-2001, 07:18 PM
I'll trade you Neil Bung's Almost Famous for Fight Club. http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

Blofeld
03-07-2001, 07:33 PM
Blofeld likes Manhattan far more than Fight Club. No deal.

Django

X, nobody's trading because the idea of trading a movie that we wanted for something as meaningless as a high position in the next round isn't anything to crow over.

And this late in the game it doesn't make any sense.

We play the cards we're dealt. We take what we want and skip the rest.

Like your salad bar...

Adam McAllister

devilf, that is tempting, I won't lie. But De Niro takes the cake on so many levels that Fight Club can't please me on. However, I do love Fight Club. At this moment, i would have to pass, however I am close to saying yes. We'll see if anything else comes up.

Adam ... I just might work a three way out with you ... You give me Godfather II, You get Fight Club, and then we hit devilf over the head before he gets Manhattan and head for the alley.

Sorry, you lost me after you said Three Way.

Much as I love Fight Club, I'll have to pass. Almost Famous needs to be at the top of my list.

I'd like to work something out for RUN LOLA RUN, so you can gander at my list: Truman Show, Cuckoo's Nest, Schindler's List, etc. (on the draft lists page, my friend)

Boogie Nights for Run Lola Run?

Well, luckily I said you could look at my list, not just pick right away, so I'm gonna have to decline Boogie. Heather shall stay with me...for now.
