Its like being a comedian in the 70's, hell! Anybody could have been funny. The entire audience was stonned. Do some drug humor and they'd laugh. Then it didn't matter if you sucked because they'd forget they saw you by the next day anyway. It was better being a rock star, cause at least you got girls that way. Just thought I resurrect an old thread.

I smoke occasionally, but not nearly enough to be called a "pot head." It's not for everyone and I would never force someone to do it, but I don't get the people who think one puff will turn you into some drug addicted psycho. I have a friend who buys into the whole "pot is a gateway drug" propaganda, and thinks I'm going to be a heroin junkie now. I just laugh at her.

In college (of course) I did the pot thing only a handful of times, and I seemed to have to really work at it to feel anything other than thirsty. At most, I got slighlty giddy. It didn't seem to be worth the effort, although I never tried a bong.

LSD one time. Once.

Never did anything else other than have a few beers.

Now, I rarely even have a beer or a glass of wine, and when I do, I very, very rarely get excessive. We're talking a maximum of two or three drinks and I'm done. Let's just not talk about last New Year's Eve though...

I had to get a physical recently and it had a question about Drug use, but it didn't ask about recent usage, it just said: "have you ever done any drugs?" I told my doctor, well nothing recently, but I did go to college. (to steal a joke from South Park)

I like to have a beer or two when socializing, helping edit a web site, or when having a marathon movie session, but of late I don't like pressing my luck with hangovers, so it's more of a social thing (and 99/100 I'm sticking with Bass Ale).

I smoked marjuina a month ago after having not smoked it in a long time. It just put into context why I hadn't done it in three years, and why I probably won't ever do it again (hey, if I wanted a drug to put me to sleep I'd just do Nyquil, thank you). The only time I smoked the ganja on a regular basis was when I was trying to get in a girl's panties (which didn't work out 100%, but when does it?) Also, since I went to school at the U of O in Eugene, Oregon (perhaps the weed capital of the US of A) I really really really hate potheads.

I've done at least one other thing, but I found that it was so much fun I didn't want it to become a lifestyle choice.

Speaking of which, did you know that you can order bottled Dr Pepper online and direct from the original bottling plant in Dublin, TX? No joke... I order a case every month or so. They still use Imperial Cane sugar (unlike all other bottlers) and it cannot be defeated. Except no substitutes. You can even buy CAFFEINE-FREE Dr Pepper from them (unavailable is most markets). At times I've thought that Nick may be an occasional smoker, I know Micah doesn't, I suspect HAM's a Rollins fan so maybe he doesn't.
I suspect YOU, Johnny Butane of smoking weed, that means probably your sig-O, the Girrlcreeture is guilty by association. I know Will doesn't smoke weed and is damn proud, InnocentX is a toker, Deadtony probably doesn't smoke weed.. um that's all.


And Will, if the government wants to trace my IP address by contacting Nick and having him report all my user details and the board's web logs so they can find my ISP, just to show up at my door with the ATF in jack-boots in order to bust me for presently having less than one ounce of weed, then fine. I would, however, hope that perhaps they have bigger problems to concentrate their efforts upon at this time; if there's a shred of sanity left anywhere in state, local and national government agencies, pot-smoking should have probably dropped off their radar by this point.

I am considered a "chronic" pot smoker. That means I smoke more than 3 bonghits a day, but in my defense it's usually under 7.
I must say though, that I never smoke before work.

Nope.

Sweet tea is my drink of choice.I HATE coffee.

But I have sweet tea, and I drink a good bit of Coca-Cola, so I have my caffeine, though I'm not really addicted.

I'm as likely to buy a bottle of V8 Splash to drink at a band practice as I am a bottle of soda pop.

I don't think of coffee as coffee. I think of it as liquid beans that looks like liquid dirt. And it tastes like it to me.

I don't think of smoking as smoking. I think of it as PAYING for chemically treated paper that I set on fire and put in my mouth.

Not quite sure how that is supposed to relax anyone.

The first drug I tried was LSD. I was never the same after that. I became a pot smoker in the 70's, daily, and then got introduced to the wonders of cocaine (it's a wonder I'm still alive). I did mescaline, peyote, speed, PCP, 'ludes, Heroin (became an addict) and finally ended up in prison. Yeah, drugs are wonderful, they lead me to HELL! I finally woke up and realized what I was doing to myself and my family. I got clean in 1996 and haven't looked back. I am now a professional, with a solid career and lots of money. I have good friends, a family whom I love and loves me, responsibilities and a life worth living. For all you youngsters out there who think drugs are "cool", just be aware that there is nothing but misery at the end of the drug highway. If you can just stay on pot, more power to you. I couldn't.
