in an interesting move by abcsports, they've tagged dan fouts and dennis miller as sideline anchors alongside al michaels for the upcoming season of monday night football.

i personally like miller's wry delivery and encyclopedic knowledge of modern pop culture, and i think he's smart enough to do his homework for the show, but it'll be interesting to see how it all pans out.

here's a link to the story on espn.com: http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/2000/0622/598628.html

Someone just sent this to the Chicago Bears mailing list...

I can see it now. "Al, I don't want to get off on a rant here, but the Vikings defense looks more maliable than Stretch Armstrong stuck in a Navajo sweat lodge."

Yeah, I just sent in the write-up on this for the main page, and I gots to tell you I am pleased beyond belief. I will now WATCH football, and countless millions of others will stop watching, or at least turn their TVs down.

that is almost enough to get me to watch Football. I will tape it and fastforward through the homo-erotic, macho preening and just listen to Miller's brilliant observations.
He is definately TONS better than that fat shit bag Rush Limbaugh!

I may stop watching Dennis Miller Live. Is this not selling out? The commercials are bad enough.

Nah, I couldn't stop watching Dennis Miller. I'm pleased to hear Rush Limbaugh is looking for work, though.
