I am in awe of this. I am. I don't think I have ever seen a game this beautifully rendered (drawn, for willko).

Please, all of you, check out the interplay website and the new games they have coming out. They gave me head rush.
Also, post your favorite game company's new E3 offerings below.

Man, I get no love around here.... *sob*
Anyways, most of the stuff I was paying attention to will be at E3 *again* next year.
Anarchy Online - cyber-punk ORPG, looks excellent. I'm glad I signed up for the beta in February, when I came across the site will surfing one day. Will be out this year, and has a 4 year running plot. At the end, the servers will be shut down. The only one of my entries that should see the light of day this year. http://www.anarchy-online.com
Shadowbane - fantasy ORPG, built on an idea of armies and conquest, instead of the hack-and-slash prevalent in the three big ORPGs in the market today. http://www.shadowbane.com
Ultima Online 2 - Actually now called Ultima Worlds Online: Origin, due to the crap going on at EA/OSI. Preview movie on the site looks good, although their statements that the movie is a representation of what the game "might" be like is a good reason to be wary. http://www.uo2.com
WARCRAFT 3 - Ah, the best for last. Blizzard, in my mind, is the finest game development house in the business today. Even if their products slip dates, you can rest assured that is because they are commited to delivering in the most bug-free shape you can find in the industry. An RTS ( real time strategy game, for you grendel ).
Get the pre-ordered special edition of Warcraft 3, and you get a 24 minute DVD of story-based graphic video goodness thrown in for fun. http://www.blizzard.com/war3

Shadowbane and Anarchy-Online look GREAT!!! And as far as UO2 goes I just have one thing to say: Whatever.
Warcraft 3 looks like a blameless and holy offering, although Honest-to-God I just didn't like the first two all that well. Starcraft rules with an iron fist, but I think Bungie.net is giving Blizzard a run for their money. The Myth games I really felt destroyed Warcraft, and had a better story-arc to boot. Warcraft 3 looks like it's taking its cue from them, though.
But anyhoo, what did you think of the link I started this thread with? Is that some crazy shit or what?

hey, what's "drawn" mean?
not necessarily my favorite game at e3, but definitely interesting are lucasarts' obi-wan game (an indirect descendent of the dark forces/jedi knight series), and monkey island 4.
giants: citizen kabuto is looking to be a must buy along with many interplay rpgs coming out in the next few months (i.e. icewind dale, baldur's gate 2, neverwinter nights).
diablo 2 and warcraft 3 are also right up there on the "can't-miss" list of upcoming hits.

grendel, how could you not love Warcraft2? I'm guessing you played it for the first time within that last few years, when it had certainly become dated.
And yes, sorry for avoiding comment on your original message, but that game looks cool. I guess you can see where my interests in gaming are these days =)
In my profile, it claims that I am an Everquest addict, and it's the sad truth.
They are pushing for 60000 a game-world for Anarchy Online, so sign up for the beta if you haven't. At some point, there will be stress testing, and chances are if you sign up now you'll get a little time to play for free to see if you like it.
As far as UO2 being "whatever", you're probably right. I'll give it a shot, but with SB coming out ( supposedly ) around the same time, it probably doesn't stand much of a chance.
And wilko, NWN won't be out in the next few months, unless you count 10-12 in the next few months =)
Diablo II and Warcraft II will *not* be pants, thats for sure.

are me and grendel the only Myth fans? I swear it's only the GREATEST RTS game of all time!

i like myth. i'm no good. haven't played in a long time either. it's a pretty cool game with actually a lot of similarities to sid meier's gettysburg! tactics and formation matter along with the physics of missile weapons or molitov cocktails. bungie is definitely a great company and i'm looking forward to both halo and oni.
oh, another cool game in the works is vampire the masquerade - redemption by nihilistic studios (being published by activision). the team doing it were guys who worked at lucasarts on dark forces 1 and 2. the white wolf rpg license is pretty cool to boot. and the style of play is going to involve a game-master who can control aspects of a scenario or campaign similar to neverwinter nights.

If you like video games, especially video games that feature heroic fantasy or heroic sci-fi, like Warcraft, Diablo, Baldur's Gate, and StarCraft, then you need to go and see Battlefield Earth! You WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
(And so on, and so on...you all get the joke. Forgive me.)

Here's another one - Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PS2. If you didn't love the first MGS... well... you suck.
Seriously, if you never got a chance to play it, its an espionage based action game, where its better to play through the whole thing sneaking through the enemy base, instead of blasting everything in sight.

OH MY DEAR GOD!!!!!!!! As if I didn't already have a reason to buy a PS2. If MGS2 is a release game, I will have the PS2 on opening day.
Period.
