I know this isn't horror-related, but Dee Dee Ramone passed on. I believe do to an OD! This is the 2nd Ramone to go - after Joey (who died respectfully). I just hate when these guys die for such a stupid reason.
Anyhoo, their video for Psycho Therapy should be good enough for any horror fan.

god this is depressing.Dee Dee also played guitar for GG Allin and the Murder Junkies for like,a week.so that automatically makes him my hero.
the song "Pinhead" was inspired by the movie Freaks and some other songs had horror movie influence lyrically.the Ramones were an amazing and influential group that changed the way people thought about music. All Hail Dee Dee!

And yet the Rolling Stones are still going. Weird.
Damn, this truly is depressing. Another peice of rock-n-roll history gone, and so soon after Joey. A moment of silence, please.

didn't George Romero direct one of their videos?

Romero did direct a Misfits video, I know that. But I'm not sure about the Ramones. The horror influence that was in their music came mostly from lead guitarist Johnny who is a major horror movie nut. I heard not to long ago on Howard Stern that the friction and anger between the Ramones for the past few years was so great that when Joey was dying in the hospital many of them refused to visit him. Now that's cold, not willing to put your animosity aside to see your band mate on his death bed.

Yeah this really blew me away. That night we were all sitting around watching Ramones videos. The next morning I found out what happened. All Ramones all week.
