Okay. I'm a filmmaker. Whoopdee do.

However, when I'm on this board - I post because I'm a horror fan. Period. I was a fan long before I was a filmmaker.

My point - I'm not promoting myself by posting here. Obviously - you people don't like me and won't buy my work. What the hell do I have to gain by promoting myself here?

So - let's just scratch the past. Forget EVERYTHING that's happened - and start again. I like to post here - there's lots of members. Not doing this would be stupid - and I'll just use another screen name and you'll not know who I am anyway.

Hating me isn't advancing this board in anyway - and calling me nasty names is no different than what you hate me for. See - you all first despised me for insulting Bookwalter - a guy I didn't like. However - then you all insult me - a guy you like - but that's okay? C'mon. Even you have to admit it's hypocritical. To not be hypocritical would be to post something like - "I don't agree with Hoffman" - not - "you fuck". That's worse than what I wrote about Bookwalter - which is why all this hate is aimed toward me - because I started a thread saying I don't like Bookwalter.

Now - let us let these things disappear into the past. Let me start clean. Lose the pre-judgements toward me. I have no judgements toward any of you.

When I post here - I'm not doing it as a filmmaker promoting a project - I'm doing it as a horror fan. Because - that's all I am. A fan. Or - you can all continue to hate me. However, there's enough hate in the world. I've learned to let Bookwalter go - maybe you can let me go.

Sometimes I wonder - If I weren't a filmmaker - would you all be so harsh on me here? Because my film is an overglorified home video any of you could make. I'm no success story. I have no money. I'm not working for a studio. I work out of MY PARENT's house!

Here's the root of the whole deal, Mike. And I hope this is the last that has to ever be said about the whole damned issue. I took offense that your first post ever was to handle a personal affair in an extremely unprofessional manner. It seemed a misuse of the board, as if you just found a soapbox on the street and decided to cry from it. Of course, that would be fine on the street, but when this place is built on the love of film of its members, and the finances and good will of its host, it seemed inappropriate.
