Last thing I heard about Le Pacte Des Loups was that it was due for a June/July release. Course, Universal haven't said shit, so I guess that isn't happening. The ones on Ebay are either bootlegs or the French DVD, which doesn't come with english subtitles. I wish Universal would get their act together and release it.

Yes, avoid the DVDs on eBay, you'll probably be bidding on a non-region 1 disc, and if you don't have a region free player, you'll be stuck with a damn fancy coaster.

I had heard 'Wendigo' was coming out on DVD and video in August sometime, but according to the film's snazzy new official site, it's still playing festivals as late as the end of June, so who knows.

Brotherhood of the Wolf is to be released June 18. Since it only made like 10 million I don't know if we are going to get a good DVD or not.

But it didn't have English subtitles, for reasons that utterly baffle me. Guess they knew that a lot of people would order it for non-French consumption. The French film industry is very fussy about these things.

But you can add me to the list of people dying to get it on DVD.

The thing about DVDs that's cool is that it doesn't cost a fucking thing really for a studio to take all the extras on that foreign disc and pop them on to a multi-disc set here. The only drawback is that the studio has to decide whether that will increase the number of people buying the damn thing or will be a barrier to purchase as it'll be slightly more expensive.

Here's hoping they bust out a full special edition with all the cut scenes (Fronsac going kung fu in the opening sequence, especially).

I think I saw a picture of the 3 disk special French edition at chud. It had very nice packaging and looked great. I'm betting we will get one disk with a bad dub, I'm sorry to say.

Just make sure the seller indicates waht region the disc is before you bid, and ask the seller if it is an official release etc. I bought a real region 0 official DTS shaolin soccer brand new for like 12 bucks off e-bay. you just have to ask all your questions before you bid
