Not to pump another board here (and jeez if I get another thread moved or locked I am gonna start to cry) but I know these boards share members...

What the fuck is up with the login bullshit at the Fango boards? SOmetimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And getting a moderator there to deal with it? HA! 3 days still no reply!

Anybody know what the goddammed problem is? I'm finally annoyed. I run a UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board) and we fixed these problems asap. You'd think a big conglomerate like Fango would be on it. But not so far.

Inspector? Someone, anyone...

That board unhinges me nearly as much as the horrordvds.com board does.

Maybe we're spoiled by some rogue intelligence gene that plagues the CHUD boards, but there are few boards that I've found that are of a (near) consistent tone of informed discussion as any of CHUD's, that only rarely get into the realm of school yard fuckeroo-fuckeree-hi jinks. Even Mobious is so riotously pc as to be once-fine-now-galling (no offense to Jeff Allard who contributes wisely and intelligently both to here and there)

I just love these boards because they're probably the only ones online where you can find the word "fuckeroo" used in a sentence.

Um, yeah...the Fango boards. Unless you want to get into an argument with a 12-year-old I'd advise you to stay away. No offense to our younger visitors - you guys hold a high level of maturity around here and I commend ya for it.

As for the tech problems. The log-in is very tricky. You just have to keep logging in until you see your name as logged in at the top. Very funky.

But...if you like a shitload of polls and multiple topics about the same fuckin' thing, by all means, visit the Fango boards.

Even Mobious is so riotously pc as to be once-fine-now-galling (no offense to Jeff Allard who contributes wisely and intelligently both to here and there)Thanks Straxby. Although completely I agree that Mobius' strict PC ways are on the one hand what makes that such a pleasant, (and for want of a better word) "mature" atmosphere but also tends to stifle much in the way of animated, passionate discussion. And I also agree with Ryan that the Fango boards are - as far as I can tell - strictly kid-orientated (and the younger posters here seem to be a lot more on the ball).

I don't seek out too many message boards but of the ones I have come in contact with the CHUD boards and specifically the CC forum is by far the only one I really enjoy on a regular basis.

It seems to have the right mix of new and old fans, and the regular posters obviously put a lot of thought into how they feel about the genre.

This is the only horror board I visit.

Cuz much like its home site, its the only one that is normally worth going to anyhow.

As to Fango:

Im sorry. I would love to read that magazine, but paying 8 bucks for a mag that seems obsessed with putting the most disgusting crap on the cover, and as much spoileriffic gore pics as possible inside (with some of the WORST captions ever. The B Movie Cabal they are NOT.) isnt something I am gonna buy.

Especially when my magazine run each month happens to be at the Waldenbooks right next to my fave Chinese takeout. Nothing better than sitting back with a good magazine, and some Chicken Fingers and Pork Fried Rice. Sadly, pictures that remove my appetite and would make any of the numerous children who come in to same Chinese place with their kids start crying and screaming makes it so I do not do the Fango very often anymore. Instead I just read Toyfare, the bastion of fart jokes and action figures.

Sorry to get a bit off topic, but I needed to do a short Fango rant, cuz im tired of being too self conscious (and cheap.. 8 bucks.. I mean.. DAMN!) to read a magazine that has a lot of damned fine and interesting articles.

Bout the only "horror" magazine I will even look at anymore is G Fan, which is a semi pro Godzilla/Kaiju fanzine..

I can't understand why you wouldn't want to read 8 different WRONG TURN topics, 6 different F VS. J discussions, or someone wanting to know what you look like. LOL

Personally, I only subscribe to Rue Morgue. I just never developed an appreciation for Fango.

I'm still consistently amazed at how intelligent and mature this message board actually is. I almost feel bad for coming here and muddying up the waters. :)

I wouldn't ever even dream of going near Fango's forums, much less IGN's. I hate IGN with a passion that grows each day.

The only other message board I frequent is the one at Rage3D, which is just for computer nerds/ATI video card fanboys (I do video editing on my computer, so it's ATI for me almost by default). They're actually pretty smart there, too, if you can avoid some of the OffTopic threads.

I've never ventured into the main CHUD area boards just because I've never felt the need to. I'm quite happy here.
