Well, I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to find my Masters of Horror DVD in the mail. Thanks again guys, I love this site when I didn't win contests.... but now that I have won one it just seems..... better...

:)

Anyway, the show is great. I don't have any pay channels so this is the first time i got to watch it. It made me like all these guys more. I would actually have preferred more Savini rather than talking to Baker as much. They should have squeezed an extended talk with both in there. The effects gags at the end were just excellent.

But there is one burning desire i have now after seeing this. I MUST SEE DEVILS BACKBONE! What does everyone else think of this? Any more feedback? Just seeing the ghost child from he clips in this show I was hooked. My wife wanted to know what it was also. The blood floating in the water.... when there is not water... just an amazingly well done creepy image.

So whats the good word on Backbone?

The good word is that the movie is fucking amazing, and you should not be reading this, or anything else, until you get your ass out there at BUY it. It's worth it, trust me.

Yes, DEVIL'S BACKBONE is very good ... I must admit that I didn't care for BLADE 2, and MIMIC was ok, so I was pleasantly surprised with DB ...

And regarding Rick Baker ... ummm ... No offense or anything, buy man, what's up with that salt'n pepper pony tail that he seems afraid to move around :)

Our library has a decent selection of horror films. I've managed to catch "Dog Soldiers", "Ginger Snaps", and "The Devil's Backbone." That last one was my favorite of the three. I didn't even mind dealing with subtitles because the story was terrific. (I love to read & I love to watch movies, just usually not at the same time).

In any event, SEE THIS MOVIE!!! You won't be disappointed.
