Butane felt I should I post this bit o' news, but I hesitated for a bit...now, why not?

Your devoted Rotten one is going to be the subject (a small subject I'm sure, but nonetheless featured) of an upcoming television show called "The Sci-Fi Road Show". Essentially a "Cribs" meets "Antiques Road Show" kind of format, the focus lies on fans of sci-fi and horror while interviewing folks in the business.

I was approached shortly before the Fango Con and met them there.

So, this Wednesday, a film crew is going to come to my house and follow a "horror nut" for a day. Surreal, for sure. Right now, word is that it'll air on the Sci-Fi Channel (natch) but they might take it to another network who's very interested. We'll see.

I just gotta make sure they don't make it cheesy...

Yep, Ryan's going to be on TV, being very classy and showing off all the cool signed stuff he has, including one of my socks I left there for him. He got it mounted so it doesn't stink up the place, but it's genuine Butane.

More than Ryan being on TV (which is ultra-cool), the CREATURE CORNER will be on TV, which is beyond the valley of the ultra-cool, if you ask me. Of course, God knows if they'll ever air the damn show, but somehow we will get a copy in our posession.

I hope SciFi follows through with this. They haven't done a show like this since SciFi Buzz. (I watched every week.)

If it doesn't air, we will do our best to make copies of it available, assuming we can do so legally. But one look at Ryan and they'll just KNOW it has to be on-air.

Well, the producers just swung by the crypt to check out the lighting situations.

I talked to them a bit about the fate of the show and, yes, it WILL AIR on the Sci-Fi Channel about mid-November.

Answer the door with my pants off? Butane's sock? Hmm, I'm seeing an interesting combination here...

Well, the day is done. The shoot has wrapped and I'm...not at all sure if it went as well as I hoped. It was less interview, mostly scripted. While they shot a lot of cool stuff of my crypt, the depiction of the Wicker Girl and I is a tad...tacky and cliche. Creature-Corner.com got some crazy mad plugs. They shot a little footage of me scanning the message boards so some of you ghouls'll get to see your "tags" on TV.

Why did I bother having my home invaded?

'Cause I went in thinking it was gonna be something else. Who knows? I'll see a cut of it after Labor Day...I need to go in and supply some voice over work.

All in all, a bit disappointed.

BTW - I had the Wicker Girl take some pics from the shoot. As soon as they're developed, I put 'em up.

All in all, a bit disappointed.It's okay. Lots of people feel that way the morning after. The trick is to keep reminding yourself that you aren't cheap and that you're more than an object.
