"The Thing" - Game Response Wanted

Rather than post on a video game forum regarding the new “Thing” video game, I figured I’d come where the real fans of the film are. “The Thing” comes out on Xbox sometime early next month from initial reports, but sadly it is already available to Playstation2 owners. Can you folks who have your grimy paws on the game give me an idea as to the game’s merit without chastising me for owning an Xbox? “The Thing” is one of my favorite film of all time and indeed I will more than likely purchase the game despite the reviews, but for the sake of my undying anticipation, please post your initial responses so I may drive myself into a frothing frenzy and perchance make the wife crazy with my animated ramblings.

I'm digging the game quite a bit. Atmospheric, spooky, violent, and definitely not for kids. I'm not that far into it yet, still exploring the Norwegian base.

Looks pretty good. Not as good as Resident Evil or Silent Hill but does the movie proud, basically.

i'm just over an hour into it and i'm loving it. i think the best way to describe the gameplay is a mix between resident evil and max payne or american mcgee's alice. the feeling of isolation from the movie is pretty prevelant so far. definately worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of the film.

GREATEST GAME EVER. I lve this game. I will be playing it to the day I die. Of course I say that about all my games. But this baby takes the cake. Freaky but lets you shoot lotsa "things." Really original and easy to operate. Puts you right in the movie. Of course for u Playstation2 owners out there, save some room on ya memory card. 2319 KB! So start savin now!
