I was finally able to see the unrated version of Dead Alive last night, after being raped by Blockbuster a couple of weeks ago with their "R" rated hack edited piece of crap they offer.
Needless to say, those 15 or so minutes that they added back in make the movie make more sense. Now I understand why it has the rep as the goriest movie of all time. Whew. There was some nasty stuff in there. Great special effects though, I can't even begin to guess how they did a lot of that stuff in the pre-CGI days.
This movie gave me and the friend I watched it with a lot of hope for LOTR. If PJ can do this with such a small budget, I can't wait to see what he is gonna do with 400 mill.
