I heard a new Halloween is being made...

...Why?

...How?

...and wasn't that Sleppy Hollow?

Apparently, a ritual is performed on the deceased Myers by the Thorn Cult, the band of weirdos glimpsed in the convoluted 5 and 6. Why, you ask? Because at a little over $60 million, it was the most financially successful Halloween entry since the first, and even garnered some decent reviews from mainstream press.

Not that I'm defending the idea...I mean, the Halloween movies, aside from 1 and 3, blow a lot.

But you did ask, and I did know. M'head (N'dege Ocello?) is full of useless shite.

The only way it'd work is if there was a crossover with the re-animator films.

It'd be great to see Laurie Strode grappling with Herbert West as he tried to inject Michael Meyers' severed dome.

The head comes alive and rolls all over town nipping at the heels of locals until it is killed once and for all by an owl who had been monitoring its roly poly delight and decided to scavenge.

The last shot of the film is the grave of Michael Meyers. A bit of soil starts to move, and then...

His ear bursts out of the ground and begins its journey back to town for more mayhem.

Could be wrong since I've only seen this shining example of quality film-making once, but as I understand it there is another possiility for the next movie. Specifically, that Myers placed his mask (and clothes?) onto Jamie Lee Curtis' wounded boyfriend (doctor from Chicago Hope) and then escaped. When "Myers" is trapped between the ambulance and the tree (and about to get his noodle removed by Laurie Strode's axe), he acts confused about the mask and reaches out to Laurie for help. Only to lose his head.

Them's the breaks. Do I buy it? Not really. But if you're desperate for a sequel (and having a hard time figuring out how to re-attach your antagonist's head), it would work as the lead-in to the next movie.

Cap out...

Well, Nick, since there is going to be a third Re-Animator film, maybe you should call Brian Yuzna and pitch him your idea. Could be the only possible way to see a Halloween film that doesn't suck.

I wanna see a whole movie where Michael just walks around slashing at air and bumping into walls. I would honestly pay money to watch Michael Myers tripping over things and falling down for two hours.

Yes, Dawn of the Dead might have unwittingly introduced an as-of-yet un-tapped off-shoot of the zombie genre which chronicles the trials and tribulations of muted motor functions for those who suffer atrophy of the brain stem in all the various forms of 'undead' life.
There's a giant void in zombie-slapstick, and as every true horror fan knows, Escalator Negotiation = big laughs!

Why should a little beheading stop big Mike? In part 2 he was shot twice in the head, through both eyes, and survived. Since that moment, it's been established that he's superhuman. Nowhere in the series was it stated that head-removal was the way to kill him.
