So what are everyone's favorite zombie movies? I am definately a proponent of the Romero flicks (Dawn of the Dead being my favorite in that series) but Dead Alive is probably the best Zombie movie ever made. I have not seen many of the Italian zombie flicks but I'd definately like some reccomendations.
Also, what do you all think of the new Resident Evil move? Can an animated zombie movie hold its own?

I eagerly await the movie. Too bad about
Romero, though.
I frikin love Resident Evil 2. I have played
that game over and over and over and over.
It's just cool. Useless knowledge: I like to
listen to KMFDM's Megalomaniac single (it has
about 6 songs) really loud while playing it.
Try it. It makes the game really cool, and
you can tell ALLLL your friends that you play
it like DJEvil does.

have you played RE3 yet? It looks good but I haven't had the chance to play it yet.

Ghost in The Machine:
As far as the Italians go look for anything by Lucio Fulci - Zombie and the Beyond in particular - they are great. Zombie is actually an unofficial prequel to Dawn of the Dead so it is kinda cool to watch. Dario Argento is also great and he actually did some work on Dawn of the Dead and there is a cut he did of the movie which I believe is better. He did more supernatural seriel killer stuff but it is great and I recommend it particuraly Deep Red. Othere then that there is Cannibal Hollucust and Cannibal Ferox.
You have to understand it is mostly shit but you can find some enjoyment from them.

Will the RE movie be computer generated or traditional cell?

My favorite films are Return of the living Dead and an indie effort from '94 called Shatter Dead.
Argento and Romero were partners on Dawn of the Dead. Zombi is the Argento cut, and it is better, IMHO. A bit shorter, a tighter edit, and there is the Goblin score http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif
Actually, Fulci's Zombie was released overseas as Zombi 2 in an effort to cash in on Zombi. Since Zombi was Dawn over here, Zombi 2 was called Zombie in the States. Confused yet???
PS: I am going to meet the writer and director of Shatter Dead, Scooter Mcrae, at the Fango Con in January!!!
I am a happy boy http://www.chud.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

Anybody checked out "Scream," the George Romero directed music video for the Misfits? That's hands down the best zombie picture we've had in quite a while.
