Well I just got this little movie on DVD and what can I say- not bad, not very good either but I checked the directors other movies on IMDB and other then a few of his first movies most of them have been pretty SHIT "The Brotherhood, Anchent Evil (AKA Legend Of The Mummy 2)." Compared to the two above Final Stab is good enough. It actully HAS blood althought the deaths arn't great, mostly just a lot of stabbing. The story line runs like April Fools Day, A teen invites a group of friends to an old house, she wants to invite her sister and her boyfriend over, she has a murder mystery weekend planed but her sis and b/f don't know about it so they think it's all real, actully they are the only two that know the truth as a psycho in a white mask (that looks like Michael from Halloween only bald and angry) is picking them off one by one. Of course the person ehind the killings should walk around with a note on himself saying "It's me, I did it" cause your bound to guess it very quickly. The charicters couldn't be more flat, the acting is ok I suppose. Some un intensional funny moments, one guy is stabbed in the back for the murder mystery plot, when everyone leaves he moans and groans to a few others about having to stay on the floor acting dead. Then he actully does get stabbed in the back two people walk past him and kick him(not very hard) "You can get up now" "Wow, he must really be getting into this" they say. The movie has alot of funny moments, it also tries to be like Scream by having charicters mention Friday The 13th and Halloween, then killer once unmasked mentions "I grew up watching movies like Friday the 13th and it's so cool, who actully gets to do that shit and get away with it" ok I think I may not be 100% perfect there but it's around the mark, the movie is pretty forgettable. Anyways to finish off, this movie isn't all bad, rent it out if you feel like it, sure it's STV slasher movie but you'll be entertained, and probably not in the way the makers had in mind.
killer quote "I can't believe he killed off all our friends" said as flatly as possible.
