Dead Future : The Dead Next Door 2I'd like to see the Alien universe made into a TV series for HBO. No Ripley isn't in it. Each show is it's own story involving Aliens. The comics alone are three or four seasons worth.

Of course I want more Alien and Predators as well as sequels to AvP.

And it's not a sequel, or a remake, but I'd like to see a serious take on 'Plan 9 from Outter Space' done. The idea of aliens using our own dead against us is pretty cool. Stephen King even stole it (along with They Live) for a short story.

Here are a few sequels that I'd like to see:

1) Deep Rising 2 - Remember the ending of the original movie where (SPOILER ALERT!) the 3 survivors find themselves on an island with more monsters? That was a great ending. I'd love to see someone do something with it.

2) Screamers 2(The futuristic Peter Weller movie) - the original was a cool little movie. I didn't know what to expect when I first saw it. I'd like to see the story continue.

3) Mimic 3 - "Mimic 2" was disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but it never lived up to the original. I'd like to see another big budget "Mimic" movie. It has the potential to be a good horror franchise if handled properly.

4) The Relic 2

5) Deep Blue Sea 2 - Yeah, I know they SPOILER ALERT! killed all of the sharks in the original. But still, the idea of battling more large and extremely intelligent sharks is too good to pass up.

Final Destination 2 was one of my favorites I think its a tie between that Willard and May. Although Final Destination 2 is the only movie that I have seen more then once in theaters.

I would like to see another Friday the 13th and Nightmare because well Freddy vs Jason was the only Nightmare I really saw in theater and Jason X and this were the only Fridays I saw in theater

Nightbreed 2 & 3 should be at the top of any self-respecting horror fan's list.
I also hope we see a good Exorcist sequel. Word is the one they filmed is closer in tone to pt.3 than pt.1. That sounds like great news to me. Hope it makes it to the big screen intact.

I'd like to see a Pumpkinhead 3, too.. As long as it has that odd fairytale vibe of the original, and not the horrible shitty vibe of the second movie.

And being a big NoES fan, I want to see that prequel get made.

Alien 5 would be awesome, too.

Actually, I thought Ticks 2 had been made, for some reason I remember seeing it, could be my imagination though.

I'd always heard that there was supposed to be a Blair Witch prequel, set something like a hundred years earlier, detailing what happened with the real Blair Witch, I always thought would be kind of interesting.

What I'm willing to give my left bollock to see is John Landis' American Werewolf trilogy. London was the middle chapter, part one was about the story of the werewolf that attacks David and kills Jack, and finally David's kid bother and sisiter take a trip to London ten years after their brothers death to find out the truth. Landis thought this up after filming London, but the lukewarm success ment Polygram were not willing to commit to more.

One point about The Thing 2, John Carpenter said he had an idea for a sequal picking up at the end of the first one. He told Empire magazine, but the magazine never published the story! Bastards.

Nah, Landis said in an interview that although London was meant to be set in Paris, for budget reasons it could not be filmed there. I'm sure I read Landis' reaction to An American Werewolf in Paris, and He did not like it. He then went on to explain the above trilogy. I think it was in Neon magazine.

Another vote for NIGHTBREED 2 & 3 as mentioned by Clive Barker (he of the extraordinary cocktease) in the early 90ies.

The same goes for the LORD OF ILLUSIONS sequel which was once supposed to happen with the subtitle VORTEX. Do it already!

They should also erase Hellraise III - ? from memory by making the follow-up to HELLRAISER II: HELLBOUND that they originally wanted to make, the one in which Clair Higgin's Julia becomes the Queen of the Cenobites. God, that would rule ...

Not horror by any stretch of the imagination but I demand that Arnold Schwartzenegger gives up on his rediculous politics-plans and does KING CONAN and T4.

I also want more UROTSUKIDOJI!!! Again, they should forget about the utter shit that was the last episode of UROTSUKIDOJI IV and go from there. More quality tentacle rape is in order!

A sequel to Andrezej Zulawsky's POSSESSION would be nice.

Again, agree with ALIEN 5, EVIL DEAD 4 if done right. Great Nightmare and F13 films should get pumped out. Peter Jackson's Nightmare script should be filmed ...

Not sure if you'd call it a sequel but Alex de la Iglesia should be allowed to make his FU MANCHU film and he should make a big-budget sequel to ACCION MUTANTE!!!

I could go on and on ... This thread sure proves that horror fans love sequels ... as long as they do them the right way ...

I'd love to see JC get the cash to make "Escape from Earth". It was mentioned while he was doing press for EFLA. Don't know how serious he was, but it definately got me looking toward it. I even toyed with doing a fanboy script at one point. It's got to be done.

I would love a sequel to William Wesley's classic Scarecrows. I can't rave about that movie enough.

I remember an article in Gorezone (remember that magazine) that they wanted to make another. It would entail the army coming in to find the military bank robbers and the money that they stole. They would have all their weapons but the Scarecrows would still be slaughtering them...until the Army broke out the flamethrowers...

I am still patiently waiting for this movie, but it's been about 15 years since the first one came out, so I think I'll continue to be a dissapointed little boy.

ED4, DEAD RECKONING, and HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR for sure. ED4 would only happen with Raimi and Campbell, not some other random people, so it'd be guaranteed good. DEAD RECKONING could be Bruiser 2 for all I care (although I enjoyed all but the last tiny bit of Bruiser, so actually...), that'd be ass-in-seat. HORA = a sure thing.

I'd be tentatively excited if a THE THING II and ALIEN V was announced, but those could both go so terribly wrong. I haven't enjoyed a movie from the Ol' Smokin' Skull in a long time, and with AVP going to Anderson I think it's obvious how Fox intends to treat their franchises. And while I don't want to get back into the whole MUMMY/horror debate, I sure hope that the MUMMY 3 hints are going to reveal that Summers is directing because then my guilty-pleasure gland will start squirting fluid overtime. Otherwise it'd be another SCORPION KING, which would make me lose all interest.

Oh, and SPECIES 3, please.

There are two "sequels" to "The Thing", though neither are movies. There is the videogame, with a cool surprise ending, and a couple of comics, where the aliens make it to the amazon.

Escape From Earth - Might actually get made in the future if sales on the Snake Plissken anime, books, and video game do well, according to John Carpenter.

Evil Dead 4 - Come on Sam! You have the clout, now use it and bring back Ash!

Phantasm's End - This one gets closer and closer to being made as time goes by. Can't wait!

Elm Street: The First Murders - I like very few of the Freddy films, but I would like to see this.

Dead Reckoning - Someone please let Romero finish his series!

Aliens 5 - Only if done by James Cameron and Ridley Scott though.

Vampire Hunter D - The first film was based off of the first book in the trilogy and Bloodlust was based off of the third book. I want another film based off of the second, because I am damn curious about what takes place.

The Relic 2 - They'd have to come up with something different from the second novel, considering they killed the two characters who became the sequel's villains off in the first film......which pissed me off.

Dead Alive 2 - I know that Peter Jackson has stated that he wants to make another zombie/horror film or two after he is done with work on LOTR and his King Kong remake.

Dog Soldiers 2 - Is actually happening, thank god.

There are most likely others, but I can't think of them at the moment.
