How long's it been, huh? Too friggin' long!
Those familiar with this comic know that Joss Whedon's "future slayer" mini-series has been in hibernation for a few months now (so Joss can wrap up the Buffy series).
I just picked up issue number 7. Wow. This is slayer movie material.

Fill me in on "FRAY" guys...
What comic label puts it out? What is the tone of the thing? I like elements of Buffy but the Trek-ness of it is a little thin to me. Conceptualy it is awesome though.
As long as we're talking horror comics, check out ROUTE 666...

Dark Horse. 'Buffy' in the future, but Fray isn't nearly as annoying. No vampires or demons for hundreds of years after a slayer closed the passageway to Earth, now they're back in force. Good stuff.

Yeah. She doesn't wine as much too. It's a great concept. Vampires have basically melded into the society and for a long time magic and demons were banished thanks to the sacarafice of the "last slayer". Comic writing at it's best.

Karl Moline's art is damn sweet too. Coincidentally, he works on the aforementioned "Route 666" too - a weird series that a dig the shit out of a lot.

Great if he works on ROUTE 666 I should love it.

You have to wait another 2 months for the final issue - I think it's late June or July.
Really great stuff, the only Buffy mythos stuff I can get into. Moline is excellent.

Yeah is it me or was the fight between Fray and Icalus rather...anti climatic? I mean if it would have been on schedule, it would have been great, come out of no where unexpected and funny. As it is, a year or so later,it sort of feels like it was rushed in order to make THIS deadline....
