Two things:
First thing that jumps out at me is HellBoy. Never read the comics but I know the jist of it: Nazis bring a demon out to fight but it turns on them.
Second thing is WWII stopped a country from not only taking over the world but from killing any more people, as they killed over a million jews and Russians. That's not counting the other poor souls they killed.
So to preach anti-war using WWII is a bad idea IMO. THAT was justified. I don't condone us using the bomb(s) but it was a necissary evil.
