I sold my crappy copy of The World Ends With You, and now am in need of a game. I've already played a few levels of The World..., and it really didn't hold my interest so what of the 3 games mentioned should I pick up.

I just beat Chrono Trigger for the DS and am looking for something sort of similar.
I played FF IV quite a bit at a friends house when I was a kid, and remember it being hard, but the reviews make it sound insanely difficult. Is it at least difficult in a fun way, and not in a throw your ds through the nearest wall way.
I haven't played any of the recent Dragon Quest games, I liked DW 1 and 2 for the NES, but could never find (or in later days afford) copies of 3 and 4 for the NES.
And Puzzle Quest just sort of looks interesting. I don't know anything about the story, but in the last few years I've gotten into puzzle games, and so it sort of combines 2 things I like, but I mainly like rpg's for the story elements, so I don't want to forsake a good story for gameplay.

I've got all three and I'd pick FFIV. It's not insanely hard, just grind a bit and go into dungeons well stocked.
Both FFIV and DQIV are pretty oldschool though. A world away from TWEWY.
Puzzle Quest annoyed the hell out of me after a while.

Worth noting that DQ5 is considerably better than 4.

I've heard, however, all the games listed are under $20 which is my price range. Also, DQ5 isn't available on Amazon at the moment, at least not for a reasonable price.
Also, isn't DQ IV, V, and VI part of a trilogy? Wouldn't you need to play all 3 games to get the full story? Or maybe I'm thinking too old school with the Wizardry games each following up on the last one.
Get Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

Get Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
It's out of my price range. I think I'm going with FFIV. But any last minutes votes I won't be ordering until morning.

How is FFIV in your price range when Mario & Luigi isn't? They're both like $35, because Square NEVER drops the price.

Used, I rarely buy games new these days.

As much as I loved even the DS remake of FF IV....just skip it and pick up VI, instead.
The best of the entire series.

OK, so I ordered FFIV, I may order World Ends... in the future once I've forgotten the parts I've played enough to make it fresh. I have this thing, that I cannot replay stuff that I've just played, and I've gone through the first 3 days of World.
I'm really psyched though FFIV DS looks really good.
How is FFIII for DS it's pretty darn cheap, but the story looks like the same story from FF1.

I'm the biggest FF apologist on these boards and I can honestly say that FF III is a pile of dicks. I'd link to my Chud review but it appears to have been lost to a reboot. [/selfpromotion]
in short, the game sacrificed much of the gameplay for the 3D rendering which make the game even more cumbersome than the Famicom version.

OK, so it's one to skip. Not a big deal, it sounded too much like FF1. So I guess after this one I'll pick up DQIV or V if the price drops.

The GBA version of FF VI, I meant, there. Though yep -- here's hoping Square finally gets around to a DS revamp of some sort down the road, too.

I'm still playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 and I enjoy it.
But if I was to get an RPG I'd be getting NOSTALGIA (http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75510) next week. That's my type of RPG.
