Hi everyone; I'm new in the neighborhood.

I was just wondering if anyone else is having a problem viewing the trailer for 'Dreamcatcher' or if it's just me... I'm getting a weird 'plug in' error, and I'm trying to figure out if everyone is having the same problem.

Thanks :)

No, it's that dumb site. All their trailers do that. Stupid streaming video. I've got broadband, and it still looks like shit pie. Wait for it to hit the Quicktime site - then you can see a nice clear version that actually downloads.

The movie looks sorta asstastic to me, just based on the trailer.

Well, if the movie is anything like the book I think we'll have a hell of a great picture. I really dug the book....and the trailer had some of the cooler parts of the book in it. The Animal exodus..the woman in the road...I'm hyped.

I know after my Tenbaum's SNAFU I vowed not to criticize movies before seeing them, but does it count if I say I think this movie looks like a pile of crap based on what I've seen and read about it?

I wasn't a big fan of the book, anyways. I'd much rather see a big-screen STAND or IT remake.

P.S. Yeah, the trailer quality was very shitty.

Anyone care to give a little synopsis of what the story is? The trailer tells you nothing.

I advise those who have not read the book to go out and buy it. It's terrific.

Rath, did you read the whole thing?

Snausage, it's roughly another IT clone. It's about 4 friends who grew up together and they reunite for their annual winter hunting trip. Things go awry when a stranger stumbles into their camp. From that moment they are changed forever.

That's as much as I can say without revealing too much.

You could compare it to "The Thing", though...in a way.

AICN has a link to a quicktime version.

Looks blinding...
