L.A. Brew Pubs?

Got a friend travelling out there for work, and was looking for some L.A. brew pubs for him to hit up. Any suggestions? Preferably local ones which aren't a part of a national chain.

I know some good bars with excellent brews on tap, but there aren't a lot of brew pubs in West LA.

If you are going to be in this area, I recommend the Library Alehouse (http://www.libraryalehouse.com/) or Father's Office/Father's Office II (http://www.fathersoffice.com/). Both have some very tasty (and sometimes hard to find) beers on tap.
