Sounds like Bubba-Ho Tepp meets The Thing.

Not a bad combo.
Congrats to Quint!

Why do all of you bastards have beards? Is that a requirement?

Trying to make up for jaw lines?

Trying to make up for jaw lines?

Exactly! And I would too if I could grow a full beard. When I try it looks like someone glued pubes on my face. Not a pretty sight.

Dude sat through Caligula. Gotta give him some props.

Both Aaron and Eric have great passion for movies. BLIND is a really good short. Can't wait to see their film. I'm really happy for them!

Frankly, we could use more internet movie website types making films. At least we know they have the passion.

I really thought this was going to be about a 'JAWS' prequel.

So did I...
I was sure it was going to be about that ship that went down and all the sharks.

Damn misleading titles!

I'm excited as hell for both of them, however, I'm wondering what the deal is with everyone from CHUD or AICN making their first jumps with horror movies. I know it's the genre most filmmakers cut their teeth on anyway, it's just weird that pretty much every single person tied to these two websites debut in the same stomping ground.

Although, if I can make a request, if Matchstick ever gets a movie deal please let it be a Real Genuis/Top Secret level madcap comedy.

I interpreted it as Quint drowning and I had a minor panic moment. Thankfully he got a movie deal instead of a seat in Poseidon's temple.

Can't wait for Nikki Finke's passion project. The horror, the horror.

Congrats to these fellows. Can't say that Quint is my favorite writer, but I also don't have anything bad to say about him, either. His passion for movies definitely shines through.

Jesus, I need to start a movie website so I might get a project off the ground.

This is really the greatest news. Eric and Aaron are the most creative, cool guys, passionate about movies, and with Weta's help will make an awesome old school horror flick.

I enjoy Quint's writing at AICN, so I really hope that this turns out great and successful. Plus, having WETA in their corner can't be too bad.

Fuck that. I expect Matchstick to make the next Spinal Tap.

I'll say the same thing I said when Moriarty's Bat Out of Hell was announced: "congrats" and "more monsters, please".

Oh, and: "fuck ghosts".
