Matthew Vaughn on a comic book adaptation? He'll be off it within a month or so.
This book doesnt do much for me either. It does make me question how out of touch Millar is with the age of his characters, or if at 25 I'm just out of touch.

The series picked up with issue#3,i enjoyed the ending to that,it reminded me of a Takeshi Miike movie. The problem so far is that issue#2 was just a variation of the first one so the story isn't really progressing like i thought it would.
I'm not sure who the two A-listers would be?all the story has focused on so far is the protagonist and a bunch of druggies and pimps.I bet we'll end up with an established actor that just phones it in as the bad guy.
Also the series is on-going so the film would have to be loosely based on the story or we might as well stop buying the comic and just wait for the film to be released.
Bit of a negative post yet i do love Mark Millar's writing,i still rank him as one of the best in the comic world at the moment, his stories resemble intelligently written blockbusters which sadly we don't see too often in film.

Who's left to do superhero movies that's a kid? Maybe it's Jonah Hill and Jack Black is his father. It'll be a comedy... they can have Ben Stiller & RDJ be a pimp gang.

I'm sure Abagail Breslin's parents wouldn't mind her playing a little girl who goes around killing people with a sword and spouting profanity.

it'll propbably just be "wanted"-ised. Millar will shut up if they give him enough money. The comic is pretty good, I quite like it but I'm a big JRJR mark.

If it's as true to its origins as WANTED, this will turn out to be about synchronized swimming.

Plot for Kick-Ass's film adaptation with help from Wikipedia: The MOVIE, which is told through flashbacks from an unspecified point in the future, features a 15-year-old boy attempting to become a real-life ASSASSIN, despite having no ASSASSIN SKILLS or any of the stereotypical reasons for choosing to KILL PEOPLE.
ASS of course is short for ASSASSIN, and he works for the clandestine assassin organization K.I.C.K.

TERRIBLE fucking comic. I'd be stunned if this movie is watchable.
