I'm sure there is something exciting to tell about myself and when I figure it out you'll be the first to know.
One of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes is Time enough To Last that stars Burgess Meredith. He portrays Henry Bemis whose passion for reading always lands him trouble at work and at home - his wife took one of his books and marked out every word (at that point I was hoping Bemis would have done a Slaughterhouse 5 on her ass). Bemis is the lone survivor of a nuclear attack and when he finds the New York library he is in seventh heaven. As fate would have it, while Bemis is rejoicing he stumbles and breaks his glasses.
Picturing myself in Bemis' predicament I wondered what would be the must have items from my DVD collection (I would of course have a choice in what I could have).
In no particular order (no collections, just individual titles and I want to include as many genres as possible)
• Raiders of The Lost Ark (Greatest action/adventure movie of all-time)
• The Third Man
• The Maltese Falcon
• All about Eve
• The Searchers
• The Last Waltz
• Jaws
• My Fair Lady
• The Pianist
• Halloween (1978)
• Rear Window
• Under Siege (Gotta have my man Seagal around to teach me survival skills)
• Fiinding Nemo
• Le Samourai
• Jesus of Nazareth
• Papillon
• Once Upon the time in the West
• The Great Dictator
With this list I would be content and could watch all these movies over and over again and never get bored.
