Born and raised in The Bronx. Doesn't speak with an accent unless you get him really angry. Has been writing for Creature Corner over two years now, Chud for a little less. Recently engaged and looking forward to the future. Doesn't care how lame that sounds.
So I'm heading to a screening of Uwe Boll's Postal tonight. I'm really hoping it's not an April Fool's joke, because I'm not stupid... I do know just know what I'm in for. I really should have learned after watching his horror opus Seed (review) last year at the NYC Horror Film Festival, but what can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment.
Still, it helps that the guys behind the festival are hosting the screening tonight, and they really are cool people, the kind that you could grab a beer and a cigarette with and talk all night about splatter films. There's also a bar in the theater, which I'll make sure to hit up before Postal.
But the best part of the night might be the fact that Uwe Boll will be appearing in person to introduce the film and participate in a Q&A afterwards. I'm not quite sure what to say when I meet him. I can't lie about how much I've liked his films (for all the wrong reasons), especially since he's read the site and must know for himself. Perhaps I should thank him for my now-infamous interview with him? (My first interview for Creature Corner!)
Whatever it'll be, it'll make for a good story. If all goes well check CC tomorrow for a full review of the movie and recap of the night...
