• Made a quick stop at the local grocery store last night and the lady in front of me had her grocery cart loaded down with over 20 packages of hamburger (yeah I counted them - wanna fight about it?) plus over 40 packages of other meats. After it was all said and done she had purchased almost $200.00 worth. Now I'm not one to care one way or another about what someone else purchases but this woman paid for all that meat with her welfare card!!
  • I'm so happy that Roscoe Jenkins movie is out in theaters. The trailer kept puking all over my television every half hour.
  • Took the kitty to get fixed. The procedure takes roughly a half hour and cost $165.00 and people wonder why there is a cat/dog population problem!
  • I'm still undecided on whether to vote for Clinton or Obama on March 4th. One thing I am tired of is the lop-sided coverage some of my favorite liberal blogs are displaying. Obama is not the second coming and Clinton is not riding the fourth horse of the apocalypse (although if there was someone who could tame that horse it would be her).
  • Watched a great movie the other night during TCM's 31 days of Oscars. The Whisperers (1967) starring Edith Evans and Directed by Bryan Forbes. The movie is about the lonely life of an elderly woman (Edith) who, after too much time alone, begins to hear people whispering in her faucet and other places inside her apartment. This is a movie I need on DVD but unfortunately it is not available.
  • It appears that Fetal Films has bitten the dust. This saddens me but am still hoping this section of CHUD is reborn in the near future. Too many fires burning at the moment on the site and the way to go right now would be for bloggers to maintain their own page for specific movies they are looking forward to. I'm thinking of doing one up for Indiana Jones 4 although the prospect of writing up a blog about the latest marketing of Indiana Jones tampons make it seem more of a chore than fun.
