See, that's the little voice you'll hear when you log onto AOL to see the new Star Wars trailer. If you're somehow still convinced that AOL is the method of connectivity even in 2004. Of course, so many of the big Hollywood types I come into contact with (I'm a player, don't you know?) still use it so what do I know? Perhaps an AOL handle is actually the modern equivalent of wearing Prada or being the house boy for Producer X. I don't know these things, as I'm really not a player at all but rather a guy in Georgia with very little value whatsoever. Even the milk delivery guy ignores me as he swaps my diamond studded jar for a freshly milked platinum one.
Actually, AOL is great if you want a really seamless and novie friendly way of getting online. I guess. All I know is that every time I log onto their Instant Messenger program I'm treated to a host of offers and fancy advertisements that tease with with sound and fury while secretly stealing my identity and installing programs that harm my computer's well-being.
What does all this have to do with Star Wars? Very little, except that apparently AOL will be the first place to see the long awaited teaser trailer for Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I wish I had a snappy retort for the title, but George has stuck a fork in us cynics by using a title that is good. Here's a snippet sent in by a fellow who Jangles from a press release by AOL and Moviefone:
"AOL(r) Movies and Moviefone.com(r), one of the largest online movie destinations, today announced that they will offer an online premiere of the highly anticipated teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith on November 4, one day before it appears in theaters. The trailer will be released in theaters on November 5, and will be available online only on AOL and StarWars.com Hyperspace, the subscription-only Official Star Wars Fan Club. Revenge of the Sith, which debuts in theaters in May 2005, is Lucasfilm LTD.’s sixth and final installment of Star Wars, one of the most popular and enduring theatrical sagas of all time."

SO, if you aren't planning to see The Incredibles on Friday [and thusly have your geek badge removed, which really isn't such a bad thing] and want to see interstellar conflict, the donning of a familiar black mask, and the supple curves of Ian McDiarmid... point your browser to Moviefone.com and watch it in a tiny window on your computer.
I'm sure the trailer will be good. It will be. I'm pretty sure of it. It's still fun to crack wise at Star Wars, though. It's even more fun to crack wise at Moviefone, because they can't even spell and the commercials they run in movie theaters are worse than pestilence.
So, bottom line... trailer comes early. Just like a lot of people who frequent the franchises section of our message boards once they see it.
