Underworld joins the Resident Evil and Saw movies in the "franchises that exist yet I don't know anybody who's seen them" department. Well, other than myself, and I gave up after their first movies.

Does it make me a bad person that I thought the first 2 Underworld movies were fun?

I liked the movies, too, God help me. Utter pieces of shit, mind you, but for some unfathomable reason I enjoyed them. Kate Beckinsale's black-leather-clad ass probably had a lot to do with it though.

I'm one of the few who like these movies. though it seems to me that this new installment may take advantage of the recent Twilight/New Moon craze, I can't help but think that Len Wiseman won't be up to bastardizing his property just to appeal to the tween set. The bloodier the better I say, and seeing Kate's perfectly formed ass in those tight pants IN 3D will certainly put me in the seats on day one.

Wiseman bastardized this franchise the moment he started working on it. It's always been lcd shit because Wiseman's sensibilities are lcd shit.

"I'm one of the few who like these movies." I was working at a video store when the first one came out and almost everyone that rented it really liked it. All of my friends like them and I like them too, and that's saying a lot because I'm a "Hater". Critics hate the Underworld movies, but I think the majority of people do like them. They're certainly not the greatest movies ever made, but they have great art design, a hot blood-sucking babe kicking ass, and a fairly decent story. The fact that they actually tried to have an actual story is commendable in this day and age. I can certainly understand why a person wouldn't like them, as they do have some stupid moments, but they're not horrible either.

Awesome news. I`m a huge fan of this schlocky series and cannot wait for UW 3D. Don`t get the hate. They are cheap so I don`t see why people are ofended. They are still better than Trannies 2, Lovely Bones and such big budget shit and/or pretentious shit whose cast and crew should`ve delivered the goods. besides, any cheapo with grand aspirations that doesn`t care if the grocery budget cannot sustain the LOTR-like ambition of the project but goes ahead regardless gets my vote. However, I hope Sheen sits this one out to open his schedule for The Hobbit. He would be a perfect Bilbo.

I really do like these movies and I hope she changes her mind as hers character really did make the first two movies and they really need to bring back the old world atmosphere between the vampires and the lycans, also they should have not killed off Kraven as his plotting added to the complexities of the story, plus bring back lucien and raze.

How do these pieces of shit keep getting made and we still don't have a proper White Wolf branded Werewolf: The Apocalypse movie? It's a goddamn shame.

@#9: you're a movie fan, not a movie geek maybe? Most movie geeks like the idea of Underworld, but think it fell short of it's potential (geeks are obsessed with finding "the perfect movie" in a sense). Rise of the Lycans was just out and out terrible on every level though. Nobody, but nobody, has any problem with Beckinsale's black-latex clad ass. That's the one thing everyone can agree achieved perfection.
