CLASH OF THE HARD ROCK TITANS

The first teaser trailer for Clash of the Titans has premiered online and it's packed with action. And power chords. The teaser doesn't really give you an idea of what the movie is about (it's pretty much about the exact same thing the original was about) but it does give you an idea of the variety of beasts and foes in the film. And it also gives you an idea of how practical Louis Letterier has gone; despite the fact that this is opening in the 300 slot next year and despite the mullet rock in the trailer, Clash is actually mostly practical.
I visited the set of Clash of the Titans a few months back, and my embargo is pretty rock solid, but I will say that this trailer doesn't quite capture the feel of the sizzle reel I was shown. Of course this teaser only exists to put the film on your radar - the next one will give a better look at what's going on.
One last thing: on the heels of the awful 'Holmes for the Holidays' on the Sherlock Holmes poster, Clash of the Titans reinforces Warner Bros' problems with taglines. 'Titans Will Clash?' Seriously? In a movie called Clash of the Titans? I could give you ten better taglines off the top of my head that aren't just the title rejumbled (how about 'He Stands Against The Gods' 'Fierce Greek Action' or 'It Will Myth You Up' or 'A Kraken Good Time'?). I look forward to future taglines like 'Eli Has A Book' and 'Elm Street Will Have Nightmares' or 'These Hallows Are Deathly.'

IMDB has allowed the comment to remain, and it has been spread like a virus over film sites. just thought you ought to know is all. you can find it hovering around the top of the IMDB talkbacks for Avatar. labled a call to arms lol. or just viit any movie site with an avatar thread. AICN nearly blew up with the amount of hate being sent your way. not going to comment on the record ?

Hey, thanks for reminding us why the comments have been gone for so long, INFORMER. You are the reason the internet is a cesspool. If you're unhappy with the FREE news, entertainment, and editorials here go elsewhere. And fuck off.
As for the article, I'm happy to see a trailer for this, but a bit scared after seeing it. The "jumping with one leg back while holding a sword awkwardly and screaming" pose looked silly the first time it was used- dissapointing to see it's become standard.

There, there Informer, I think you need to have a lie down, you're not going to get anywhere with all this desperate shrieking on the comments sections. Why not try a nice civilized email or PM instead.

Looks pretty cool. This is what I like in my fantasy epics, fantasy! Lots and lots of mythical creatures and things you can't see in any other type of movie.
Also, I like the music. I hope the movie will have a fun 80s style rock soundtrack, not the screaming emo nonsense that passes for music these days. Dammit, this movie is supposed to be fun, and it looks like it could be. Here's hoping it will sound fun, too.

If they use "A Kraken Good Time" I promise to see this twice in the cinema.

I never saw the original film due to my pathological fear of robot owls.
