Coming Soon has learned that the upcoming Smurfs movie from Columbia will be in 3D. I don't really know what else to say about that; it's becoming obvious that despite 3D not being quite as ball-shattering as the studios claim and despite the number of 3D screens remaining fairly low, even in the impending face of Avatar, a huge number of films - especially kid films - will be getting the 3D treatment.
