Lord of the Rings: Conquest is going to make a lot of fans happy, I can guarantee you that firsthand. Pandemic Studios knows how to hold a Community Day- there was almost nonstop gameplay sessions and we got a fantastic look at practically the entire game (read about it here, if you haven't already).

There hasn't been too much footage released just yet, but the game's producer Giz (a damn fine individual, as everyone I met at Pandemic was) met up with G4 last night to show off why people are going to buy this in droves.

Besides that here's some direct-feed footage of the last mission of the game (that I'm surprised they're showing off!) which is set in the shire, and has you burning down all those cute little hobbit homes. You can see why the evil side's really where it pays to be.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest hits stores January 13th, and I have it on good account that a demo will be hitting before release so you can try it out for yourselves. See you guys then...
