UPDATED: BLACK DYNAMITE IS A BAD MOTHER- SHUT YO' MOUTH! (NSFW)

I have just seen, like...the greatest movie EVER. Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by Spielberg and written by Charlie Kaufman could be coming out and I'd rather see this movie: BLACK DYNAMITE. You imagine every great old and new Blaxploitation flick, Shaft, Dolemite, Black Belt Jones, Superfly, I'm Gonna get You Sucka, role them into one, add a bit of Grindhouse, and you have this movie. I'm honestly floored by it.
I got sent this link on a tip and I thought it was just a joke e-mail for an old flick that I had missed in my youth. Then I put a name to the face of the titular hero: Michael Jai White. And "Holy Shit!" was my expression. Black Dynamite looks awesome, incredibly authentic yet satirical. The faux credit sequence is just the best touch. Starring former Baltimore Colts running back...and Captain Kangaroo? This is twisted genius. This is the best movie I've never seen of this year.
It's co-written and directed by Scott Sanders, who's worked as a writer on A Different World, Roc and The Wayans Brothers. Jai White also co-wrote with co-star Byron Minns. Damned if Salli Richarson isn't pulling off the best Pam Grier ever in this. Arsenio Hall, Tommy Davidson, Mykelti Williamson, Bokeem Woodbine, Phil Morris and a shload of others round out the cast. If Steve James were still alive, I know for certain he'd be in this movie. How could he not have been? I don't know how I could have not heard about something this completely kickass-looking. This trailer comes off like it should have been one of the Grindhouse faux trailers. The fact that it's an actual movie has me scrambling to find out more.
No word on the release date yet (and believe me, I looked).
Many many thanks to Timo for the tip.
Edit: It seems they changed to a green band trailer on the home page and took down the initial red band trailer they had earlier, which was definitely NSFW. Even more unusual, I can't find it anywhere else that I've looked. There's a red band trailer floating around in plenty of places, but it's not the one that the home page had up earlier. If you can find that original red band trailer, that's the one that's definitely the best of the three I've seen. You'll know it when you see the three hoochies getting serviced at the same time by BD. Black Dynamite producers: please bring that one back someplace. It shouldn't go unseen. In the meantime, here are the two current trailers:

I am quitting my job right now so that I can support this, uninterrupted, from the very core of my being.

Where the hell did this come from and more importantly when is going to be released?

Shit! That's awesome. I guess I'd better shit-can my Blaxploitation script.

Agreed, extremely bad-ass and did a better job in two minutes than any of the Grindhouse films did on 7 hours (1 for Planet Terror and 6 for Tarantino's Good Dialogue-Proof), BUT...
What exactly is very very NSFW about? Either I'm way past the point of corruption or I just didn't pick up anything warranting a stern notice.

Very interesting. They had a RED BAND trailer up earlier today, with chicks with titties hanging out, the MF bomb all over the place and everything. Now it's GREEN BAND. When I did the story, the red band trailer didn't have the Sundance info at the end, which should answer a couple of your questions above. Even more interesting, the red band trailer was different than what you can find in other places like YouTube. It ruled.

The website has a redband trailer up now (late on 11/20). Dunno when you guys were posting. Can you dig it?

the trailer on youtube seems totally diffrent to the red band on the site, in that, it has the same lines in it, but shot diffrently. i'm guessing the one on youtube was some kind of trailer make specifically to raise money to make the complete film?

To be honest, I think the green band trailer is much, much better, despite the missing titties.
It's got Captain Kangaroo for fuck's sake!

Absolutely incredible! This is officially my most anticipated now!

Props (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) for the Steve James nod. He was, without a doubt, the best 80's action second banana.

Hahahahahahaah. The Red Band trailer seems to show footage of an old film with different actors. Either way, both are awesome. There were more tits in the green band trailer.

the green band one on their site has titties and a motherfucker thrown in anyway, how much more badass is the official red band trailer then? the red band on youtube is an older film, i'm guessing this is a remake, the old trailers also on one of those grindhouse trailer discs that came out a couple of years ago

Does Tarentino know this thing is out here? because, damn, this out-Grindhouses Grindhouse.

Here's that red band trailer that was pulled from the sight but was the best of them all:
