YOUR FIRST LOOK AT HOW ROMERO'S NEXT WILL BITE

We know that George Romero has been filming another chapter in his now long-running zombie series, but details have been scant. Once assumed to be a sequel to Diary of the Dead, that isn't the case at all. The film (as yet untitled) is almost Romero's take on the French film Les Revenants. Taking place on an island, this might be a more conceptual zombie flick than most, as it concerns families who must decide whether to destroy the bodies of their relatives as they rise from the dead. Solution seems obvious, really.
Bloody Disgusting has the first photo from the film, and the image doesn't require much explanation. It's small and low-res, so I'm not even going to clip it; just head over there to see the bite.

It's a good idea for one element in a movie. You know like when there's a surprising 2nd or 3rd note to what you thought was gonna be a 1 note movie. But if this is what the whole thing is about, it seems kinda thin. But I'm sure there's more up Romero's sleeve. That said, Land of the Dead disappointed me and I haven't gone back to him since.

Romero should just watch Charlie Brooker's Dead Set, which just finished it's run on Uk TV tonight, and go home and give up.
Dead Set pissed on both of Georgie's previous attempts from a great height, subtext and all. You're done, dude.

You know what sucked? Diary of The Dead. It sucked hard. If that's the direction his dead movies are going then screw that.

"Once assumed to be a sequel to Diary of the Dead, that isn't the case at all." How is this still being stated when Empire got the straight scoop a month ago: http://www.empireonline.com/News/story.asp?nid=23327 "It starts with the blonde who drove away and the national guardsmen who robbed the people. So those are the only characters that return." Returning characters, therefore SEQUEL.

I just hope Romero keeps his simplistic political views out of the movie. Politics and zombies don't mix.

So by your logic, Sorking, Out of Sight is a sequel to Jackie Brown. They both contain the character of Ray Nicolette played by Michael Keaton. Returning characters, therefore SEQUEL.
