Take this next one with a suitable source of sodium - like preferably the Indian Ocean - but both IESB and LiveNews are reporting that current Caped Crusader, Christian Bale, is at the top of the Marvel wishlist (emphasis on the wish) to play Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange.
Yeah, yeah I know, this is rumor mill grist at its best or Fanboy wet dream #2,478,641. The only "confirmation" of this comes from "a source". But said "source" claims, “It is understood a deal could be struck in the coming weeks.” My thinking is pretty much no way in hell, but of course anything is possible. It's not that I can't see Bale as Strange, which would be friggin' awesome, it's just that I see him flatly turning them down.
Nevertheless, allow me to throw my own in on this one: Sonny Chiba as Wong.

I think there was a "no way" feeling to Bale in Terminator and look at that. I'm getting a little tired of Bale. Or Batman?

Would be cool but WB would never allow it I am sure and I am sure Bale would turn it down. I am hopefull for Dr.Strange though, he is a cool character. I am still not sure who said play him, they need to definitely make modifications to his costume.

Unless it's a great script and he is getting Tom Cruise in MI3 money, why would he want to do it? Not only does he have Batman (and could command obscene money to do Batman v Superman), but he has the Terminator movies as well.

It's a shame studios are so obsessed with casting young for these comic movies because Pierce Brosnan would be fucking perfect.

A while ago I would have agreed that Christian Bale would turn this kind of role down, but after he took the role of John Connor in T4 (under MCG too!!), I'm a little skeptical of his judgement.

I think Bale is great, but he's not right for Dr. Strange. If I were casting this, I would go for Viggo Mortensen. He's the right age and he's got the right look.

Naw, Xemoo you are WAY off on Will Smith. Accepting this role would conflict with playing the Norse god, the mighty Thor.
