We're proud to be hosting a behind the scenes clip from the upcoming DVD release of Sukiyaki Western Django, Takashi Miike's bizarre and exhilarating mash-up of Westerns and Samurai movies. The collectible Steelbook DVD (and Blu-Ray, with BD Live features!) hits stores on November 11.
This clip is from one of the special features on the DVD, and it doesn't mince words, saying that Miike set out to make the greatest film in the history of Japanese cinema, and to return Japan to the top of the cinematic heap.
Find out if he succeeded by reading my original review of the film right here. And you can decide for yourself by ordering the Steelbook edition of the DVD from CHUD by clicking here.

How many movies are they going to make about movies already? I read your original review and it was a bunch of junk. "Pure" cinema because it references other movies? Who gives a shit? Who cares about garbage like Kill Bill and this shit? "Look, I like a bunch of other movies! Look at all the references! Fellate me!" I'd rather watch one of Miike's other bizarre films about technology or perverse sex or whatever. At least it's coming from a human aspect, no matter how bizarre.

I wanted to like this movie but it really does suck. Just terrible.

I agree with the above poster. You know your movie sucks when Quentin Tarantino's acting is the best thing about it.
