L'CHAIM, BOND

After saving blacks (Glory), the Japanese (The Last Samurai), and blacks again (Blood Diamond), Ed Zwick has turned his attentions to the Jews. While it's fitting that the leading proponent of the White Gentiles Saving Minorities genre has cast some gentiles in the main Jewish roles of this WWII true story, wouldn't it have been gloriously ironic if he had cast Ken Watanabe, Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle as the three brothers who begin a guerilla campaign against the Nazis in Poland?
Anyway, the final poster is here, and it shows as little imagination and verve as Zwick's films (seriously, the only Zwick film I honestly like is Glory). Coming Soon has the whole thing; click over there to see the lower half of Daniel Craig.

The trailer for this looks awful, really really poor.
Look craig, once you're bond, no-one cares about your other movies, sure you'll get work but it's not going to bank. Just ask every other bond. Ever.

Wife-beating milkman has a point. Look at Sean Connery. Did he ever even work again? And Pierce Brosnan: playing Bond did nothing to elevate his status. Actually, shut the fuck up, Milkman.
And Devin, the fact that you like Glory confirms what I always suspected: that you want to suck Denzel Washington's cock.

Ed Zwick? Funny name, rhymes with DEAD DICK. But seriously, what is with this man and his mission to save the bareass native darkies in his films? Dev, you know people and have a HUGE gob that just won't shut, why don't you track this fucker down and ask him?

Sean Connery, Oscar winner for "The Untouchables," Indiana Jones' dad, Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez in "Highlander," Marko in "Hunt for Red October," Daniel Dravot in "The Man Who Would Be King," star of "Rising Sun," "First Knight," and the fucking "Rock" never banked?

I'm with Devin, though I never bothered to see Blood Diamond as I was already tired of the "Zwick-Schtick(tm)" by that point.

Last Samurai is the bee's titties. Work with no flaw.

Yeah, Connery did fine for himself. Also, I tihnk brosnan did some really cool work after bond. I particularly liked Matador and Seraphim Falls.

Last Samurai is a work with many, many flaws. It looks great, has a fantastic score, and well done action sequences. But its main point and politics are completely fucked up, and the ideas driving the story simply do not hold up to any kind of scrutiny.

Shouldn't the 3rd brother really be Djimon Hounsou? Come on Devin if you're going to go for the joke at least get your references right.

Politics, point having, and people of the minorities are overrated.

Everyone seems to forget legends of the fall nowadays (as nick calls it: "a dick flick"). I think that still stands as zwicks best work and his less sentimental side. And i hate that devin keeps referring to tom cruise saving the japanese in "the last samurai". Have you even seen the movie? Its the other way around, dumb shit. On a small tangent, i agree with comment #7, brosnan in seraphim falls is the tits
