PORN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

I'm kind of fascinated by the turn that James Gunn's career has taken, because I think it's the way of the future*. While still developing features, the Brian Grazer-haired director has also started working on shorts. The first was Humanzee, which is going to be available on Xbox Live, and now he has PG Porn, available now** on Spike TV's website.
Comedy people have been using the web over the last couple of years to deliver really great stuff, and now it seems like other filmmakers are follwowing suit. Horror guys Adam Green, Joe Lynch and Ryan Schifrin have been making shorts for the internet and Gunn is a fellow horror dude, although his shorts seem to be more comedic than anything else.
A couple of years ago I feel like this would have spelled career doom for this people, but the paradigm*** has changed so much that this is obviously not the case. Now I'm left wondering what it would have been like if the internet had been around thirty years ago - what might Scorsese or Coppola or young(er) Spielberg have done with the freedom and brevity of a six minute online short?
The premise of PG Porn, as far as I know, is that the standard porn situations - a pizza boy comes to deliver a pizza - don't quite pan out. Ie, the pizza gets delivered. But knowing Gunn there's more goodies than just that, and he's teamed 'real' actors - like Nathan Fillion - with porn actors - like Aria Giovanni - for this endeavour.
But don't take my word for it; here's Gunn's intro to the concept.
James Gunn & Aria Giovanni Introduce PG Porn from pg porn on Vimeo.
It's interesting that PG Porn is Fillion's second web feature, after Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog. He hasn't been able to quite catch his break in the 'straight' world - maybe he's the first internet movie star.
Anyway, the initial PG Porn should be live when you read this. If all goes well, you should be able to see episode one below this bit of text. Enjoy!
*way of the future.
** assuming the time delay feature of our back end works.
*** management buzzword!

I've been following James Gunn on Twitter for a while and he's been taking about this one for a while. It'll be interesting to see what the final product looks like.

Is Aria Giovanni really the best person to talk about porn considering it seems she's never taken a cock before.

You misspelled "endeavor," Devin. Want to include the "u"? Move to fucking England.

Not to be a Fillion-fanboy, but he's actually leading yet another TV series in the midseason called "Castle". I don't know if it will take off, but I don't think the mainstream has seen the last of him.

are you serious? shorts the way of the future? how many movies have you commented on that would work great as six minute shorts, but suck as a feature film...im sorry, but it doesnt take a visionary to create a six minute short, although it does take a competent director to make a feature length film (and slither WAS NOT THAT GOOD!!!)

The most entertaining thing is James's body language. The difficulty he has looking at her and the hand on the face.
