LET THE RIGHT ONE IN TO YOUR LOCAL THEATER

Yesterday I interviewed Tomas Alfredson, director of Let The Right One In, which may be the best movie I have seen this year, and the one thing I didn't ask him is when people who don't live in New York or LA will be able to see his masterpiece. I did ask him a bunch of other stuff, much of which is so in spoiler territory that I don't even know what I'll do with the interview. But the good news is that while my 'journalism' skills are poor, others are working to fill in your gaps in knowledge. To wit, my brother in arms and spirit, Scott Weinberg of Cinematical, has listed the release dates for Let The Right One In all the way through the end of the year. This list will enable you to make road trip plans/buy plane tickets to ensure that you see this wonderful movie on a big screen, where it should be seen. If you torrent this movie I'll cut your genitals off, fuckers.

I'm a little surprised this isn't showing in Atlanta - I may have to give a couple of the local indie theaters a call and see what needs to be done to correct this slight!

The E Street Theater in D.C. to the rescue. What a great indie theater.

It would be nice to have some idea of when a Canadian such as myself might get to see this as well. Aside from the After Dark Film Fest, that is.

Sorry, but you'll probably only get away with 2 or 3 cut-off genitals before they put you away, and the bastards know it.

But I'm too fat and lazy to actually go to a theatre when i could just wait for netflicks to send it directly to my trailer. Plus, if I went, i'd miss out on a good 6 months of bitching at people who post spoilers.
What do you mean it's not in english? That's it - I'll wait for the Uwe Boll remake starring hayden Pannetiere and Rob Schneider.

I don't know. This does look good but Devin basically called "The Wackness" a masterpiece when it is decent at best. It's tough to buy into a persons endorsement of a film when he so easily overlooks one films flaws because he thinks he made a discovery and then strains to monkey-wrench in complaints for a movie most people embrace (i.e. "The Dark Knight").

It will also be showing at the annual Horror Marathon in Columbus, OH on Oct. 18. It's a 13 or so hour movie marathon that is a TON of fun to attend. There's a website at horrormarathon.com They also do a 24-hour Sci-Fi marathon in the spring.

It sucks that just because this one played the Fantastic Fest, the rest of Austin doesn't get to enjoy it. I can't afford a badge, full or partial!
