TWILIGHT TEENS TAKE THEIR SENIOR PHOTO

Is this what Judd Apatow hath wrought? His films pioneered the Big Heads Staring Out At You style of poster, and now movies as diverse as Twilight, the teen vampire soap, have jumped on that bandwagon. But Twilight uses the style really poorly, and so you end up with a picture that looks like a senior photo from Emo Rock High School.
Here's what interesting about Twilight now - is it still as popular as it was this summer? The final book in the series really polarized the die-hard fanbase, and I'm suspecting that the massive rush of interest (which took most movie sites very much by surprise) has burned out, especially as all indications about the movie hint that it simply stinks. We'll see soon enough, I suppose.

I will believe this is good when I believe that the Happening has "over 1 hour of INTENSE new footage" on DVD.

Devin, you have no idea. As much as we all might not like it, understand it, or wish it not to be so, this thing will be retarded big. I work in the book industry and as divisive as the final volume has been, previous installments of the series have actually caused more discord in the fan community than it has. In fact, I have never seen a series in which so many people strongly dislike elements of the books but still come hungrily back for more. These books are like crack, the movie will do very well.

I don't see it making more than 30 million.

Every single girl I have seen for months has read and reread and rereread these books (I teach at a high school). Its now moving into the mom crowd. They are all going to see this movie at least once. Crazy big opening. After that, who knows?

This has the staying power of a sugar sculpture in a monsoon. I love how in the 90's being goth meant being excluded from society and now it's so acceptable to be goth the mom set is into it. Wait, it's a detriment to goths everywhere to lump this book series with their culture so scratch the previous observation. Anybody see anyone at San Diego wearing "I Don't Read Comics, I'm Here for Twilight" shirts? I think of that every time the subject comes up.
