I missed the Fantastic Fest screening of Rocknrolla, but I heard a lot of good things from people coming out of it (and from people who saw it in Toronto). The resounding refrain: 'It's Guy Ritchie getting back to basics.' If that's what you want, then this is a movie you might well enjoy, it seems. While you're waiting for the film's release (the 8th limited, Halloween wide), you can put yourself or your friends into the action with Warner's R U A RockNRolla site. Somebody 'framed' me for some art theft, and you can see the results right here.
If you're looking for a way to get over the final hours of Humpday, this application could be it. Frame your boss and maybe that new cute girl in accounting will be so impressed with your sense of humor she'll give you a handjob in the supply closet during the holiday party!

I really don't think Nolan wants to be a director that is mired in franchises. He is doing a great job with Batman, but after this reboot has run it's course he won't have to worry about studio backing for the next ten years. I would rather have him doing something more original. Look at Memento, The Prestige, and to a lesser extent Insomia. His ideas are usually better than studio schlok.

Why are there so many douchebags on this site? Whats wrong with Guy Ritchie? The guy made one terrific movie- Snatch, two decent movies and 1 bomb. Maybe he is not movie geek cool anymore but there was a time when you nerds would have pissed in your Star Wars underoos just to meet him.
Sod if Devin was British hopefully he would have enough sense to realize his country ain't exactly lighting the film world on fire. Then hopefully he would realize that while Ritchie is no Scorsese, he is the only one in the entire fucking country who has made anything remotely entertaining in the last 10 years.
