A QUANTUM OF MUSIC VIDEO

I'm still on the minority team when it comes to Another Way to Die - the theme for new Bond film Quantum of Solace - in that I like the song. Now I get to have the distinct weird pleasure of seeing Jack White and Alicia Keys sharing the screen in the video for said song. If you're looking for a peek at the new Bond, give up now - the video is unique in the annals of tie in song videos in that it contains no footage from the film it's for. It also looks like it was shot on a green screen stage with the aesthetic of 'We have no idea what we'll do with this footage, we'll just drop it on some kind of background later.'
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

It also seems like Alicia Keys was randomly dropped into a White Stripes song. She's unnecessary.

Luckily Meg was suffering from anxiety during this outing. Jack fills in on drums and succeeds where Meg technically can't.

I like the ending with James Bond coming over the ridge to shoot them.

There's certainly a good song in there somewhere, but this video is as unfocused as the arrangement itself. This song has a tough time just getting off the ground - and even when it shakily does so, it never gains any real altitude.

white stripes songs always have that unfinished disheveled quality that while popular in Williamsburg BK with hipsters sounds lousy to me.

Is Williamsburg even 'hip' anymore? If it is, I seriously doubt that it's hip to be into the White Stripes.

I like it waaaaay more than last movie's theme and don't get me started on Die Another Day's shitty theme.

Eh. Admittedly, it's still pretty rough and uneven, but it's starting to grow on me.

I can just imagine the director of this saying, "It's great; I was given a budget of one million dollars, and the best part is I still have $999,995 left over."

I like the song, so I guess consider me another minority member. BUT...this video makes me sad. Alicia Keys keeps trying to do that awkward rock-star-hand-on-the-hip and point move...not to mention the really sort of amateurish green screen production quality of the whole thing. It feels like one of those karaoke videos from a kiosk that you make at an amusement park. Except it probably cost millions.
