Given the teaser trailer for Bronson, now running on the film's website, the film could almost be mistaken for a portrait of an old-school boxer. The major images: punches, suspenders, mustaches. (Oh, and nudity. This sucker is NSFW.)
That's not what's going on here, though; as previously reported, Bronson is Pusher director Nicolas Winding Refn's biography of the notorious British criminal. And while I knew to expect something fairly crazy when Refn tackles a story like this, having seen the three Pusher films each multiple times, shots in this trailer make me feel funny. Mime/clown Bronson? (Who looks a tiny bit like King Diamond.) Or charcoaled Bronson with the paper-mache mask? These things scare me a little bit. Can't wait to see the movie.
